I think Wake Forrest, TAMU, UVA, or Missouri would be good additions.

Vandy drags the quality of our conference down.

If we were going to add strength to the SEC, could we do it in the West? The East is hard enough...:birgits_giggle:

No lie . . . In fact, let's just switch it to North and South. We'll be in the north with Vandy, Kentucky, Arkansas, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

I like it! We could call the SECCG the SEC Civil War.

This argument kills me everytime I see it.

1. Vandy is a CHARTER Sec member. They have been here since day one.

2. Saying Vandy drags our conference down is retarded. There are a TON more sports than just football, and if you look, you will see that Vanderbilt competes very well in almost all of them.

3. Someone mentioned replacing Vandy with GA Tech? Check your history. Tech WAS in the Sec, and they left.

4. I hate Vandy bad. I am from Nashville.... but they are going NOWHERE. Charter members don't just get booted because they don't play good football.

geeze.

Missouri's not even in the south? Neither really is Texas.

The SEC as it stands right now is fine the way it is. And as eloist mentioned, Vandy's not going anywhere.

I would hate to see Vandy leave the SEC. In a lot of ways they bring class to the conference. This might not be recognized by those of you who live in SEC country, but outside of the SEC Vanderbilt Univ. has an outstanding reputation as a school who also plays football with the big boys. I grew up a VOLS fan hoping to have the intelligence and wherewithal to some day attend Vandy. In Indiana, non NDame fans, look at Vandy as the Harvard of the South. NDame fans see only one school. I cheer for Vandy weekly, except when facing the VOLS.

i would love to see Georgia Southern come up to the SEC, we would get our buts kicked at first, but i think we could eventually become competitiors

The SEC is perfect. No need for adding anyone or taking anyone out.

Silly argument. And they are better than most other SEC schools in Basketball and Baseball, and (at least this year) better in football than a few teams.
