no one who has ever met the man would doubt that kiffen would be a very good college head coach. mike riley might be a good option as would gary patterson. I'm not sold on Mendenhall being a elite coach. BYU should always be a top non bcs program. end of story. leach is a great choice for a non traditional power. UT can do better IMO.

What do u guys think of Mike Martz, would he switch over to the college rank? I'm watchin the S.F. game and he's done miracles with this offense.

I think Chris Petersen is the best choice he is young, gutsy, and runs the spread. He is the perfect choice!

I agree a new coach needs to be found and sooner than later. With his multimillion dollar salary, Fulmer has lost his luster, his hunger, and his drive to lead our program any longer. His recruiting habits and his lack lustre coaching has created a high school level football team.

I just hope the next coach we get is also from Tennessee, and preferably from East Tennessee since we need one who will be loyal to us here and not have family ties from another SEC state, or the north, or from the other parts of Tennessee who don't really like us, and would love to see us continue losing. Anyone remember Bill Battle? When he was coaching the Vols, 85% of all games we lost were to Alabama and Auburn. Guess what. Bill Battle is from Alabama! Need I say more?

he really runs more of a pro style offense right? doesn't seem like a natural fit at UT IMO. He runs the oregon style of team. not sure if that is a good fit in the SEC.

Who gives a sh*t if he's mormon he's kickin' a** out there with less talent.

Because it's extremely, like 99.7%, unlikely that he'd leave BYU to come to UT.

He's a great coach, but he is quoted as saying BYU is his "dream job." And we're not going to get him to leave and move his family to the south to coach at UT when the lifestyle is completely different. Most of BYU's football team is Mormon, and Salt Lake City is the capital of Mormondom.

Bronco could've had the UCLA job last year, but turned it down despite the significant pay raise.

Steve Spurrier His the one that got away. Right here from the great state of tennessee and we let him slip threw or fingers year and years ago!

i brought up Mike Martz in the other similar thread, what do u guys think about that guy? If u could lure him away from the pro's.
