I still dont see how it is possible for the same agent to potentially represent the outgoing coach and the incoming coach without creating a huge conflict of interest
It's a conflict. But, agents typically aren't attorneys so the same rules don't apply. Also, the two clients could waive any possible conflict of interest.
Butch's agent is a lot smarter and better negotiator than UT and it's attorneys. I don't know who UT's legal counsel is but they should be replaced immediately. The buyouts in this situation were completely one sided and unnecessary.
