At the hospital this morning, I was talking to a friend of mine, who is a Ole Miss graduate, who related that actually the Gators are in an unenviatable position come Sat.......meaning that the whole world is expecting a blowout. Anything less will be a moral victory for the Vols. He said based on what he saw of UT's defense in the UCLA game that they will play hard for Monte and "O" for four quarters and if Meyer keeps in his starters, he risks getting an injury to a key player.

I expect Tennessee will show up and play well.

There's more pressure on UT to back up Kiffin's prediction of singing Rocky Top in Gainesville all night.

we may not actually win this game, but i bet we shut every one up, for the time being anyway

Interesting perspective.
They didnt care about knocking teeth out against UCLA just imagine what they will try to do to Florida...

Wrong. There is ZERO pressure on UT. It's all on UF. Because of UF's SOS a loss will cost them everything. We're expected to lose. This game is about the players, not the coaches.

We'll be loose. No pressure. Just like we want it.

Just one more time, right after Kiffin predicted that, he said
"Sorry, Urban, Mike made me say that"

I haven't seen that part of it once on ESPN though, so I guess I can't expect anyone to realize this.

hey cheese weenie - why don't you watch the presser and get the whole quote instead spewing that spin micahine bs...

Enlighten me then.

Did he have his fingers crossed or something?

He said what he said, which is UT will beat UF in Gainesville, at which point he and all the Vol fans there would sing Rocky Top all night long.

Whether he woos or not is up for debate....his comments aren't.

it's all about pressure at UT now, huh? must be nice. I hope you all are still salivating about the little pressure midway through the year when you have 4-5 losses. you think there's no pressure now, just wait til then! this is what you guys care about now? man things have gone from bad to worse up on the hill.

We'll have our 6 wins. Now go away.

The thing that I really don't get is... how is it, that EVERY media source omits what followed Kiffin's joke when said that Mike Hamilton told him to say that....I guess that the ommission makes for a big audience, and something for all the gators to talk about...? :zeitung_lesen:

You are taking it out of context. He said it in a joking manner to start a press conference and just in case any tard didn't understand it was a joke, he even said that Hamilton told him to say it. Like the other poster said, watch it and judge for yourself.

I took your advice and looked up the entire quote.

"I'm really looking forward to embracing some of the great traditions at the University of Tennessee, for instance the Vol Walk, running through the T, singing Rocky Top all night long after we beat Florida next year, it will be a blast".

There's nothing to spin here. Kiffin predicted a UT victory, so hopefully for your sake he puts his money where his mouth is.

With the whole quote there wouldn't be a story. Sound bites cause drama. For more examples, tune into FOXNews... eerrrr .... FeauxNews any night of your choosing.

if it was a joke why did he say it was an extremely calculated move to somehow turn the recruiting world upside down and get everyone talking about UT? Why didn't he just come out and say he was joking?

he changes his story more often than I change my socks.

You must be right because a lot more people on both sides are expecting that to happen.

Las Vegas and every Gator fan on the planet call BS on your post.

Some optimistic Vol fans may expect an upset, but the next Gator fan you find that says UF loses this weekend will be the first.
