With all of these high profile schools having trouble. Who do you think might get the ax first. Bad thing is someone will have a head start on who they want?

Florida state
Nebraska
Michigan
Tennessee
Notre lame
Auburn

Probably left one or two off.
Penn state might actually have to put the old fossil out to pasture this year. They might need a coach too. Man we might be stuck with fulmer. There may not be anyone left.

Charlie Weiss is going nowhere. Bill Callahan is going nowhere. Bobby Bowden is going nowhere until he decides to.

The first coach to get axed isn't on that list, and it's Ed Orgeron at Ole Miss.

I doubt Nebraska is going to make a change, their program is still on the rise, there's no shame in losing to USC, that's a good team. Weiss is probably safe at ND, he just got a 10 year extension, and is popular with the boosters there. Sadly, it's unlikely any changes are afoot here in Knoxville. Bowden hasn't done so poorly that he's likely to get the boot in Talahassee, I mean he and Paterno are competing for the winningest coach ever title, so he's not getting fired, he'll have to step aside. JoePa has PSU back in contention in the Big 10, as long as he wins he's not going anywhere either. I don't know about Auburn, but Michigan is by far the most likely to make a move, but I don't think anyone does anything 'till seasons end, so the leg up has to go to the team that either makes no bowl, or goes to the worst bowl since any decision would likely come right after that.

Bowden? I doubt he'll be ousted. Plus they'd probably just give the team to fisher.

Nebraska? At this point, they're 2-1, and OU is really the only juggernaut in the Big-12. At this point.

Mich? yeah we'll compete (hopefully) with them for a coach. That's a big time name in football. Big facilities, big fan base... there's not much we can offer except a much harder div. to play in.

Weis? no way he's leaving.

Auburn? I don't think Tuberville is out. He was 11-2 last season.

Only actual legit ones that could compete with us are Mich and PSU. I honestly doubt FSU will fire Bowden.

This offseason, I believe these BCS teams will be looking for head coaches:

Michigan
Tennessee
Ole Miss
Arizona
Duke
Virginia
Baylor

What is going to happen with Mike Stoops?
I can't imagine he'll survive the year. They can't make the jump from being competitive to winning games. If they can't beat BYU and New Mexico, I can't see them winning many PAC 10 games.

Houston Nutt is gone at the end of the year even if Arky wins a NC. If he wins, he leaves for a better job, if he loses, he gets fired.

Carr will be gone even if they win the Small-10.

Auburn will not be happy unless they win 10-11 games a year, and not lose to Miss. State, and of course beat bama.

Duke actually won Saturday for the first time in 2 years, so that has to be worth something for the coach.

True, it means Ted Roof won't be on a 30+ game losing streak when he's fired at the end of the season.
