Who loses faith in Butch if he....

I would lose faith and think he has lost his mind if he started Worley over Dobbs now and that the rs is burned and defenses have to defend the entire field. Our OL just got better and our te's, rbs and wr's just got more space to operate because the qb has to be defended and Bajak just got taken off the hot seat.

More rushing yards vs bama than any team in a decade. Think about that. We were bottom 5 in college football and headed for a sack record and were sacked once. Worley would've been sacked 8-9 times Saturday.

Agree with your entire post, but didnt Bama get 2 sacks?? Or was one of those when the lost kid was in the game?

Exactly.

Dobbs performance made it a lot easier to make that call.

Dobbs will start. According to someone I know who has some ties to the team, Worley is done. This person told me his injury is a lot worse than we're being led to believe.

That's the real question here. A lot of the speculation is based on Worley being an option. If he is not an option, then it's a no brainer. If Worley is healthy, then I think you work both QB's into the game plan. Peterman should not see the field unless both Worley and Dobbs are mortally wounded.

This is a trash year anyway. No need to start losing faith until next year when all the excuses are used up and Butch's team is expected to perform.

I hope that Dobbs can continue to play and inspire play like he did Saturday...but I don't think Butch should announce the starter until the game just to mess with Spurrier.

I think Spurrier and the world knows Dobbs will start if Worley can't go.

You guys forget we didn't score a td in 2 games with Worley? And in those 2 games, our defense gave us the ball near midfield and better at least a dozen times, including at least twice in the red zone that I recall. Defense didn't give us that at all against a better bama D and we scored 2 in 3 quarters. One good throw and we score 3.

He is not DD, he knew when Dobbs hit the field Saturday night he would be our starting QB the rest of the season, he would not put Dobbs on the field and burn his red shirt for one game, just sit back and see the process that coach keeps preaching, the process takes a major climb up the track this week, this is a big game for the process.

SIAP but John Brice said last nite on WVLT the Extra Point, that Worley may have seen his last action for UT. They injury seems to be severe. Expect an announcement around Friday.

This is what I'm hearing from someone close to the team. They told me Worley is done.

I'm older than most so it takes me a while to believe but when you've seen Rick Clausen light up LSU then........
It gives you a wait and see attitude.
Having said all that I think Dobbs earned the next start and a chance to earn the next one after that.

I see it like this:

The first two drives are when the defense is freshest. They are fired up, and they've watched your film.

So you put in Peterman to let some air out of their sails and see which holes in the defense you can exploit, while Dobbs sees what to expect.

NOT ME NOR ANY OTHER TRUE VOL FAN.
SO IF YOU LOSE FAITH, WE DON'T CARE.

Now for everyone else, don't you all get tired of this type of attitude? I sure do. You're either Vol or you're not.

Also, your name says it all flipdaddy. You probably flip from one team to the other as they win.

Nobody is studying you volpreacher. You like losing don't you? Wouldn't bother you if he starts Worley would it?

IMO Butch starts Dobbs even if Worley can go. His team is 3-5 and the natives are getting restless. If he doesn't start Dobbs, the overwhelming fan favorite, and loses, life gets very tough for him. If he starts Dobbs and loses it will be tolerated because he is seen as looking toward the future.

Dobbs will start but Butch won't make it official until at least Friday, because we quote "have to see who has the best week of practice". It's actually becoming quite comical that so many people continue to fall for the same ole coach speak week after week lol.

and that media crap about the qb's.
