Who loses faith in Butch if he....

I'm a little torn on this.

I want to see Dobbs because he has a higher ceiling, is more exciting to watch, and stands to gain valuable experience which will benefit him going forward.

However, I think the primary goal of this team is to make a bowl game. If Worley is healthy, I think he's the safest bet to get us there - as ugly as it might be.

Ultimately, if it were up to me, I'd start Worley, but on a VERY short leash.

He is not DD, he knew when Dobbs hit the field Saturday night he would be our starting QB the rest of the season, he would not put Dobbs on the field and burn his red shirt for one game, just sit back and see the process that coach keeps preaching, the process takes a major climb up the track this week, this is a big game for the process.

Either way the Gamecocks will be a tough match up. Beating Spurrier in Columbia will be no easy task, but this team needs a victory in it's worst way. If Worley is healthy he will likely start, but if his first turnover leads to USC scoring it will create chaos on VolNation.

If Worley or Peterman start in place of Dobbs then what was the point of playing Dobbs against Bama? I would really begin to think Jones is in way over his head.

Yeah. Honestly it will have been a pretty major mistake if Dobbs doesn't continue to play.

That said, I could support a decision to play Worley if he's healthy. I don't think the staff trusts Peterman.

Jones has a better team entering the USC game this year than he had last year. Spurrier has a worse team entering the game this year. In spite of it being in Columbia, this is a VERY, VERY winnable game for UT.

They can go 3-9 this year and I will still have faith in Butch.

He is the right man for the job!

Good God. You'd still be behind him if he lost to the worst Vandy team in years? Even the "Same Ol' Vandy" teams were better than this one.

It is NOT hard to recruit to UT. It just takes effort. There are plenty of coaches out there who can do it.

Dobbs will start but Butch won't make it official until at least Friday, because we quote "have to see who has the best week of practice". It's actually becoming quite comical that so many people continue to fall for the same ole coach speak week after week lol.
You are dead on. I have heard the same questions from the same cluster of lame brain reporters this entire year. I have also heard the exact same responses to the lame questions. The media (and fans) still don't understand that CBJ is not going to decide off the cuff on any decision facing the team. He may adjust the percentage of 1st team reps; but he will follow the same gameplan he has since he has been here.

I am not saying I think we will go 3-9, I still at this moment know 100% that we will make it to a bowl game (based on what I saw against Alabama with Dobbs as QB).

But for something that has never happened in the history of the program (lose 9 games) to happen to a coach in his second year. I can't agree with this this statement. If coach Jones goes 3-9 he is NOT the right man for the job.

Doesn't start Dobbs this week? I will lose total faith.:mf_surrender:

NOT ME NOR ANY OTHER TRUE VOL FAN.
SO IF YOU LOSE FAITH, WE DON'T CARE.

Now for everyone else, don't you all get tired of this type of attitude? I sure do. You're either Vol or you're not.

Also, your name says it all flipdaddy. You probably flip from one team to the other as they win.

Dobbs will start. According to someone I know who has some ties to the team, Worley is done. This person told me his injury is a lot worse than we're being led to believe.
