Who knew about this hire? Of course Currie knew. Did the president? Chancellor? Governor? Trustees? Search committee? Obviously, a lot more people than the AD knew. That no one thought that they not have a PR issue that they need to address before the day of the announcement is inconceivable. There will be a lot of denying in the next few days.
