Who is your impact freshman?

last year I was adamant that Janzen Jackson would step up to be a solid freshman player, and it wasn't a popular pick...despite what you may try to say now.
I will pick Juwan James as the impact freshman of the year for ut.

Wasnt popular pick? He was an all-american 5-star defensive back. I think most people carried the same sentiment about JJ last season.

agreed. It would be tough to find anyone who thought he wasn't going to be an impact player

I think he does actually have a point. Jackson was signed before Morley was booted, so people assumed that the Berry/Morley tandem would keep up their strong play and Jackson would get only sub minutes. Brown and Nuke I think were being touted as more immediate difference-makers.

Watched Palardy kick last Sunday. KO's from the 30, some wind at back, out of the back of the endzone, three in a row, into the corner of the endzone! What a freakin leg! They did a field goal competion six footballs lined up at different distances, left hash, right hash, with the last two balls in the middle at 50 and 55 yards. Kickers had one minute to kick all six...most through wins. Palardy, hit all six in one minute. He then punted a few balls standing at the opposite side 40 down to the goal line, with hang time...forever. Fun to watch

What? We might be starting freaking Simms.

Did you not see Lincoln kick last year? He cost us arguably the biggest game in years for us and couldn't kick the kickoff past the 10 yard line ever. We had a WALK-ON take the starting job toward the end of the year. Teams started at the 35 or 40 on us on a regular basis.

I'm not saying that Simms is good by any means, but I don't think the difference between Bray and Simms will be that wide for this year.

J. JAMES- J. Shofield (sp) M.Pair ect..... / We better hope it's a hard choice between OL linemen, if not Palardy!!!!!! :beerf:

Milton
J. James
Bray
Rogers

In that order. I think Bray will play this year, but maybe not until the midway point or just before, JJ looks like an absolute BEAST in the making, Milton has shown some real potential early, and Rogers has potential written all over him.
