let's work this out logically. i know that can be a challenge for you, but i'll try to break it down into simple steps.
1. angie goes to war torn countries that are so dangerous the press doesn't follow her there.
2. in these countries, and in all others that she visits, there is a record of her trip (including pictures SHE takes, the report she prepares for the UNHCR , and other items) that is maintained by the UNHCR in its official website and other records
3. sometimes she goes to places where the press feels safe enough to go (i.e., a well-secured military base in Iraq)
4. Angie's trip to Iraq was to deal with the refugee issues at the camps. The media did not follow her there.
5. That there are SOME media reports from relatively safe places does not discount the fact that there are other places she goes where the media does not.
6. FINALLY, and probably most important for you to grasp, many of the pictures that the media later obtains are those she herself took. It doesn't mean the media was there with her.
I sincerely hope this helps you.
And I really do mean it, you should read up on the global political economy. Sounds like you could use to expand your horizons and work on that linear logic a bit.
I thought this thread was list your hero(s) period. Not pick on my heros and make me defend them, geez. Obviously, you have done quite a bit of research into this ladys work and that is good enough for me.
I don't look at anyone as "my Hero", but I have the utmost respect for Paul Newman and Richard Petty.
