That's not a real fair assessment. That's only three games.

So when Coach T signs 2 PGs and Brandon Lopez doesn't play double digit minutes all year you're gonna bump this thread and admit how dumb it was?
Yes like every year you say something dumb to see someone can prove you wrong. Didn't you say Reese was getting less than 9mpg this year? Oh right

Duh, apples and oranges. What do you think his role was? Drive to the hole and dunk? Here's a simple one for you. If you're on the bench, you don't score, you don't rebound, you don't have assists. You come into a game cold in case you are unaware of that. Doesn't mean you can't if given a chance. Don't know what your big gripe is against walk-ons. That's pretty pathetic. I'll trust Coach T on this one, not you!
He was on the bench for a reason and will be again this year.

When you are a walk on and enter the game you are playing tentative and trying so hard not to make a mistake that you play tight. When you are given the reins and given a real chance to play you might see a different player. Pulling out stats from 3 games doesn't really mean much.

Hell I could pick out 3 games that Thompson had worse stats than Lopez... but yall would probably say hes still developing and talk about how he has so much potential

Here's another guy that's been on the bench, a walk on senior just given a scholarship by Butch Jones.
For the past few practices, Gilliam has been Tennessee's first-team left tackle...
"Nothing is guaranteed, ever, especially for a walk-on," Gilliam said after the Vols practiced Tuesday. "Anybody out there that's been a walk-on knows that. You've got to come to work every day no matter how you feel or what it's like, and you've got to outwork somebody that obviously they've invested a lot of time and money into.

"That's what I just try to come with every day, knowing that at a moment's notice I could be replaced."
Unless Dontavius Blair, a touted junior college transfer who joined the Vols in January, picks it up the final two weeks of spring practice, Gilliam's status might stick as the Vols try to find a replacement for the departed Tiny Richardson.

It seems like 3 of every 5 threads started in the bball forum are started by Senior Drill.
Forum a little dead for he last couple days. Thought I would spice it up a little bit! Since my approach is so brilliant and I post stuff nobody else thought of I guess that's why it's read so much. I mean 1429 reads since 9:00 this morning. Somebody must enjoy reading them, eh?

You don't consider given Lopez a scholarship signing a point guard?

he is already on campus....he doesnt sign a LOI....i have no problem with walk ons if they earn a scholarship. Chances are high that this one wont....still way more of a vol athlete than i will ever be so much respect to him.

You know that every time somebody refreshes the thread to read the newest post that all the previous posts show one more read, right? :ermm: If 20 people are following the thread and keep dipping back in to read newer posts, the read count goes up.

Also whenever someone gets behind and clicks the "mark all forum posts read", that's another click too.

Anyway, you're right, it's been slow. Time to sign another player!

If you include the games he didn't play he actually only averaged about 7mpg, so good one. Weren't you guaranteeing us all though how he would be getting 15+ minutes and his minutes were gonna go up, not down from last year?

Being able to be a big time scorer in high school doesn't necessarily mean you can play big time college ball, but not being able to put up big time stats in high school does seem to be a warning sign that you're not going to get it done in college.

-Earned TSWA All-State honors after averaging 25.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists as a senior in 2011 and leading the Roadrunners to the quarterfinals of the TSSAA Region 2-AA tournament.
-Posted an impressive 3.9 GPA in high school.
-Played summer ball with the Tennessee Travelers AAU program.
Just asking?

Really, bra? Wanna make a mystery and leave that little nugget? Troll smarter, not harder.
