Who Is This John Amaechi Guy?

I typically like the segments that Amaechi comes on with Lebetard. I did not hear this one. It is disappointing that the media grabs a story and has to form opinions and judgements for the listening public without all the facts. We all do it. We are doing it now in this forum but only other Volnation-ites are consuming. With the media, many uninformed people consume opinions and judgements as fact. That in turn paints an ugly orange picture right now for the Vols.
The coaches' presser discussed that the culture NOW is great but the lawsuit isn't about NOW. This isn't solely about rape and how our football coach handles those accusations. This is about the entire institution and this will not end quick enough for any of us. I just hope that the University has honestly represented itself with due process to all victims and defedants because if they have not it will be on every form of media consumable; front and center. I had to fast forward through a Sportscenter segment this morning with my 7 year old because I am not ready to explain to him what rape is. There won't be any winners when this is over...

Heard him on the Dan Lebatard Show badmouthing our coaches. Says they are part of the problem because they had the press conference yesterday and nobody showed they were really concerned with the culture. And it's not just him, it's pretty much any news outlet you look at. They are all just bashing everything about the university at this point. What ever happened to due process, and having the right to defend yourself when someone accuses you of something. I have nothing wrong with what the 16 coaches did. They know more than anyone how great our culture is at UT and they stood up for it. I'm just tired of everyone spinning every story that comes out and making it a negative. This whole situation is overblown. It's clearly not a cultural issue when the kids that made the mistakes get suspended immediately and if they are found innocent the suspension is lifted. Hell, we suspended AJ Johnson, the heart and soul of the team, and never played another game after that. If there's another coach in the country that takes things as serious as Butch on these issues then I would like to meet them because there's not one. It's gotten exhausting to hear nothing but bad news about our university and it is got to be very disheartening for these coaches to keep hearing it. Let's just hope the players use this as bulletin board material and make this the greatest season this football program has ever seen. Sorry for the rant but this is my outlet and my way of venting to all the recent news. GO VOLS!!!
CBJ also dismissed Paulk for punching his girlfriend; suspended Williams along with AJ; suspended Pearson until his case was settled; just suspended Johnson until his case is settled; and dismissed Pig for drugs. In the meantime FSU allowed Winston to keep playing while he was under investigation on the same charges as AJ and Williams. He has made some tough decisions on player suspensions based on each case. Don't think he was sweeping anything under the carpet. Johnson, Williams, Pearson and Howard were all starters and AJ was an AA and first team All SEC.

I remember this guy... He needs to worry about his pedophile state university instead of Tennessee

Maybe he was involved in that stuff. He sure does like to deflect and fan the flames everywhere other than Penn State. Lots of times, people like that behave that way because they have something to hide.

Former player at Canderbuilt so he naturally hates Tennessee as a former commodedoor.

He probably knew what was going on at Penn state and transferred there for his sexual desires.

Commodedoors have players that have been convicted but UT does NOT and still that Brit POS attempts to make UT look worse.

GRRRRR!!!!

Typical of the Liberal owned press to spin things for the worse to fit their agendas and ignore real facts.

May God help our Country.

VFL...GBO!!!

I thought that was one of the main reasons for the lawsuit in the first place?

That a high volume of incidents involving athletes get reported and go nowhere...

The lawsuit doesn't have anything to do with legal outcomes. The players could be found not guilty in court and the case would still revolve around how the school handled the incidents.

How? I've tried but that's the worst radio I've ever heard. It's like 3 ignorant drunks sitting at a bar bullshating for 3 hours.
You worry about how you spend your evening and let me worry about how I spend mine!

Haha Im biased I've been listening to his show since I got my license and started driving down here. Can't stand 560 sports or Joe rose so 790 the ticket was my only local sport option. Truth is I find the show hilarious love listening to stugotz. Dan owes alot of his new success with espn to lebron James, his radio show during the big 3 heat Era was some of the funniest radio to listen to for South Florida local sports fans.

Remember when they would get Hock to call the Cleveland radio stations as "Erik Spo-lestra? That was awesome.

I listen to lebatard every morning I'm a local South Florida listener. Amaechi The dude is a pretentious blowhard. Everytime he is on he presents himself as a arrogant brit that knows more than everyone else. I was listening this morning too and it is so ridiculous the media refuses to acknowledge that every player involved with the football program if accused of a crime or involved in an accusation was removed from activity. Even as you said one of our captains on the team AJ never played another down for us. Unlike Winston who played amid controversy. It's as if they wanted the program to stop playing all together even after the players were removed. Terrible journalism these days.

a 'pretentious BLOWHARD' ....'ain't gonna touch that one!:whistling:
