Heard him on the Dan Lebatard Show badmouthing our coaches. Says they are part of the problem because they had the press conference yesterday and nobody showed they were really concerned with the culture. And it's not just him, it's pretty much any news outlet you look at. They are all just bashing everything about the university at this point. What ever happened to due process, and having the right to defend yourself when someone accuses you of something. I have nothing wrong with what the 16 coaches did. They know more than anyone how great our culture is at UT and they stood up for it. I'm just tired of everyone spinning every story that comes out and making it a negative. This whole situation is overblown. It's clearly not a cultural issue when the kids that made the mistakes get suspended immediately and if they are found innocent the suspension is lifted. Hell, we suspended AJ Johnson, the heart and soul of the team, and never played another game after that. If there's another coach in the country that takes things as serious as Butch on these issues then I would like to meet them because there's not one. It's gotten exhausting to hear nothing but bad news about our university and it is got to be very disheartening for these coaches to keep hearing it. Let's just hope the players use this as bulletin board material and make this the greatest season this football program has ever seen. Sorry for the rant but this is my outlet and my way of venting to all the recent news. GO VOLS!!!

He's a Brit that played basketball at PENN STATE and the NBA. Came out as gay after retirement...sensitive to sexual assault with that background.

All true but worth noting that he transferred to Penn State from Vanderbilt. Curiously, he had nothing to say about the rape convictions of their players.

How can the coaches defend a culture that doesn't exist?

I listen to lebatard every morning I'm a local South Florida listener. Amaechi The dude is a pretentious blowhard. Everytime he is on he presents himself as a arrogant brit that knows more than everyone else. I was listening this morning too and it is so ridiculous the media refuses to acknowledge that every player involved with the football program if accused of a crime or involved in an accusation was removed from activity. Even as you said one of our captains on the team AJ never played another down for us. Unlike Winston who played amid controversy. It's as if they wanted the program to stop playing all together even after the players were removed. Terrible journalism these days.

His problem is that he assumes that there is in fact a rape culture at UT, which is a absurd.

a bigger question is why did Lebatard dig this clown up for his show ?

Amechi? is on every few weeks. I thought his opinions were uninformed. Everyone always discusses this situation as if guilt or innocence has been established.

Vanderbilt actually had players guilty of rape as found in a court of law, UT has no players found guilty of rape in court and UT has a culture of rape?!?!? I am the only one who took philosophical and mathematics logic classes in college?

I am in Alabama now, was listening to 94.5 in Birmingham, some dude from the KNS is on as a guest, is making a LAME effort to be impartial but of course talking with Bama fans it does not go very far, more or less Destroyed CBJ. I have not made a post on any of this crap but holy moly, lets get this worked out so I can not listen to this Crap!

Lebatard always seems to be ok on most things, at least when I've listened to him. But that idiot Amaechi is Euro trash that thinks his crap don't stink. IF UT was promoting a hostile environment that would be one thing but to start bashing people based on nothing more than he said she said is irresponsible from anyone in media or anything else. Maybe Amaechi would have been better at his profession if he had concentrated on basketballs instead of other balls.

This is an example of a guy who's only claim to fame is being a homosexual average basketball player. If he wasn't gay, he'd probably be selling insurance somewhere

Pretty sure the next one will be the first one.

So what we really have so far is a culture of unsubstantiated and underreported by the complainant alleged sexual assault claims at the University?

That seems different than the story I'm hearing in the media.

I've yet to hear what the University failed to do in these cases? It seems the University would have a minor role outside of the investigation of allegations to a crime solving agency.

Is it kinda weird that we remove "lady"
From the women's programs and then we get sued for having a "culture" against women?

Yes this is true. I don't follow the NBA much anymore but when I did I was a Jazz fan. This idiot clashed with Jerry Sloan because Sloan demanded his players focus and be committed, Amaechi's own words. He says basketball wasn't his.life. Obvious by the under 3 points and 2 rebounds per game averages he had while in Utah. He's an annoying Brit who thinks he knows more than he really does.

But because he is, that turns him into a certain segment of the population's hero. I don't get it, and don't want to.

And if that makes me an un-inclusive ass, so be it.

Best way to stop this bullbutter is stop and don't subscribe to papers like the TENNESSEAN. They have always been anti- Tennessee
