Racist bigot Wilson has to make the list for being known for shutting down speech.

It is almost too recent but Biden has to make the list. He makes people stop talking about Carter.
Wilson also started the whole movement to create federal administrative state. He laid the foundations on which FDR built his whole unconstitutional New Deal

Yes. I said it 1000 times. The hearings were a distraction. He should've been disqualified from being SCOTUS for absolutely ****ing Americans on right to privacy, but no...Dems were after him for something less related to the job and R's were never going to give up a fight, even if it was for a loser they shouldn't have wanted.

Edit: fact-checked this with AI and he's not excatly credited with "writing" it. He worked closely with lawmakers and the Bush admin on it, particularly about surveillance, etc. and he had some glowing statements. He is fully credited with writing Bush's statement on the bill signing.

This is par for the course. “Actually…everything I just said was entirely wrong and from something I had read on social media and never looked into”.

The story in the country of how SNAP (food stamps) started is one of the biggest failures of any president of all time and was another give of his that drains our budget.

It’s the complete opposite of how you naturally assume food stamps occurred.

Assumption: people couldn’t afford food, so the government helped them

Reality: FDR thought food was too cheap, paid farmers to slaughter livestock and let the meat rot and to burn crops so he could increase price, then had to start SNAP because he made the food unaffordable.

Add this in with his concentration camps for Asians, attempts to pack the court, social security, the NRA, etc.

Horrific

I can see that. Introduced the welfare state that continues to bankrupt us. Tried to bench pack to push his agenda.

Yep. Social security, food stamps (to be fair his version ended at some point and then was restarted under LBJ), farm subsidies, I would argue a ton of our problems today started under FDR.

Technically George Washington was a Federalist. You are pretty ignorant of history if you think John Adams is a bad President.
pretty sure the man who spent his farewell speech talking about the issues of political parties was not technically a Federalist. a federalist, maybe, a Federalist, nope.

Pierce and Buchanan were far and away the worst Presidents. Picking any other requires recency bias or historical revisionism.
Pierce is an interesting one to include. can you expand?

bleeding kansas is the worst thing I can think of for him. otherwise I thought he mostly played it down the middle.

LBJ is a great one to read up on if you ever what to go down the "WTF" rabbit hole. He is what most liberals think of Trump. there is so much weird, and not in a good/quirky way.
He was a racist POS that suckered the entire black community into thinking he cared about them. They STILL believe his party does. He was an evil genius.
