Who Is The Worst President In US History?

Worst is kinda subjective and likely going to be partisan.

But even "bad" Presidents have done "good" things. Take Biden for example. While the Afghanistan withdrawal was an utter disaster and that was bad, the fact that we're out of that hell hole is good.

Andrew Jackson is another example. The Trail of Tears... really bad if not the worst. But he paid off the national debt during his time in office (the only POTUS to every do that) which was a very good thing.

Andrew Johnson is also up there in terms of long-lasting generational damage to this country.

John Adams due to his unconstitutional Alien and Sedition acts which were a 1st amendment violation.

Also, I'll add that the Federalist party sucks.

I have so many options, but its sad that the last 4 are all fighting to be at the top of that list.

a couple others would be LBJ, Lincoln, and FDR. there are several others who have some worse/worst moments but overall I would be comfortable with solid arguments for any of the 7.

I would say George W Bush is up there. He's responsible for turning the US into a surveillance state via the Patriot Act.
You have to give him some credit for preventing another 9/11. I don’t think any president had a bigger world changing moment happen during their presidency than him. And he was just fresh into his first term. I think there was fear it would happen over and over.

Apparently they weren't if a Congress and Administration composed of a lot of people that wrote the Constitution agreed to it. Constitution only applied to US Citizens in their time and really should today.

Yes, the Federalist controlled Congress voted in favor of it at the time. Hence why I said that political party sucked.

There's a reason why there was only one Federalist president.

Yep.
While he signed it, Congress was the one to pass it overwhelmingly.

There's equal blame there.

Absolutely. Whole lotta blame everywhere. Of course, every branch of our government was given even greater authority over the rest of us peons, so I don't think any of them saw it as a negative.

Technically George Washington was a Federalist. You are pretty ignorant of history if you think John Adams is a bad President.
