Who is the one player u wish had played for Tennessee

The thought of Randy Moss with Marcus Nash and Peerless Price does sound pretty unstoppable.

If u could pick one player from the past that didn't play here who would u pick . For me it's easily Marshon Lattimore . That guy was one of the thoughtest football players I have ever seen and had fantastic character . Would of been a great ambassador for us

Randy Moss!!!

That’s all good and fun, but what does that accomplish that’s different from right now? We would be considered a historical powerhouse?

We already have that.

Tebow means we would have a title or two in the last decade.

Spurrier would have won 3-5 national championships at Tennessee

Tyrann Mathieu . The kid was a game changer & playmaker .

Current UT commit, Tanner Ingle reminds me of the "Honey Badger", in fact his nickname is the "Savage Badger". If we hold on to him, u may get a version of your wish.

If u get a chance, check out Ingle's "hudl" videos and tell me what u think. I would give u a link, but I suck at stuff like that

Hard to beat Steve Spurrier due to the historical impact he most likely would have made.

One of three players that may have put us over the edge for a national championship with Peyton and I pick these player primarily due to when they played and the impact they could have had in combination with the other players we had; Jevon Kearse, Champ Bailey, or Greg Ellis.

I never heard why he went to Florida over Tennessee. If he would have......

In an interview (South Carolina Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier has still got it - SEC Blog- ESPN), Chris Low once asked Spurrier point-blank whether he would have attended Tennessee if Doug Dickey had been hired one year earlier:

Having attended high school in Johnson City, Tenn., did the fact that Tennessee was still running the single-wing offense keep you from seriously considering the Vols?

SS: I think that’s where I probably would have gone in a heartbeat if they had been running a different offense. I grew up a Tennessee fan, but Bowden Wyatt was in his last year and they didn’t fire him until after I decided to go to Florida. They were still running the single-wing under the interim coach [Jim McDonald] before Doug Dickey came that next year. So if Dickey had come a year earlier, I might have been a Vol.

In addition to the hypothetical long-term ramifications of Spurrier potentially donning the orange and white, another almost equally intriguing question is suggested by that scenario:

Dewey Warren was also in the freshman class of 1963. He played linebacker on the freshman team and then took a redshirt in 1964 as Dickey implemented his T-formation offense. Considering that Spurrier was the Heisman Trophy winner in 1966 and Warren was the nation's passing efficiency leader that year, how would the quarterback competition have played out? It would have been a nice problem for Dickey to solve.

Good stuff. Steve remains a guy that UT fans hate, but respect the hell out of.
