Herschel or one of the great QBs in that era. Marino, Jim Kelly, or Elway at WR U would have been awesome.

Or Bo Jackson. Imagine Tony Robinson, Tim McGee, and Bo Jackson in the same offense.

Herschel Walker would be a good choice. Someone more my time...I might get hate for this but Cam Newton

Let's see...

If Steve Spurrier had played at Tennessee he would have won a heisman trophy here and most likely coached here bringing multiple championships to Tennessee instead of Florida.

That’s all good and fun, but what does that accomplish that’s different from right now? We would be considered a historical powerhouse?

We already have that.

Tebow means we would have a title or two in the last decade.

This is laugh out loud funny.

And insane.

No it’s not. Only two things that are significantly pro Spurrier is his win% at Florida and number of SEC titles. 81% to Phil’s 75%. Even then it’s not that much better. With the 6 extra SEC titles, Spurrier has the same amount as Phil in regards to national titles.

Don’t see the major difference between the two.

Spurrier dominated him head to head and was unquestionably a superior coach.

In 14 head to head matchups Spurrier won 9.

The Rock....

Just for the publicity and because people already said Spurrier.

It no where implies he was light years ahead of Fulmer as some say either.

So why couldn’t Phil get another job after being fired? When Spurrier was let go from Washington he was 60 years old but had no problem finding another job. Phil was 55 when he was fired but couldn’t even get the Boston College or Kansas jobs.

Spurrier was willing to take on a rebuild job. Fulmer was a bit prideful and wasn’t going to take on a rebuild job. Pretty simple. Also, because Fulmer was prideful, he’s admitted that if it wasn’t Tennessee, he didn’t feel he could give it 100% at another job. It’s not like he was seriously pursuing BC or Kansas either. This is widely known.

I think you are missing the point! U.T. probably would have played Tebow out of place. Played him at T.E. and not Q.B.
Just like they played Jason W at Tight End and not at Defensive Lineman.....
Get it????

Um... a Hall of Fame TE. Pretty sure the correct call was made on that switch.

Surprised Jalen Ramsey hasn't been mentioned.

Still can't get over how Dooley screwed that up.
