Who is really behind the curtain pulling the strings for UT football?

My take on the bad actors that have been and are in charge - those that control UT football.

There is a deeper problem here than just John Currie making a bad hire. Watching what has gone on today is a big disappointment, one of many for this program. Why did I expect different? I wanted so badly to believe that Currie could pull this off, and now I realize he's just as bad as the rest of the bad actors that have been in control.

Let's go back to Jimmy Cheek (Gator lineage) . First clue was the gender neutral pronoun memo. I got ragged at work by people saying "What is going on at UT". Just a SJW doing his thing. He brought you Hamilton who brought you Dooley.

Davenport replaces Cheek- another SJW who I get the feeling could care less about the Athletic department. UT had a chance to hire some talent, brains and experience in the AD search. Blackburn at UTC seemed a perfect fit. Fulmer too. These guys have Tennessee credentials. Currie comes out of left field. (A masters at UT, but not VFL caliber).

My take - Currie's not the guy pulling the strings. I'm certain Peyton and Fulmer would not have given positive input for this hire - Peyton cussed him out on the field for his defense playing dirty. Haslams? That'd be interesting to know the truth?

I'm just wondering if Currie is a pawn in this debacle and it's being handled at the Chancellor level or above? If so, SJW is killing off UT football.

We may never know what goes on in the back room discussions - all we see are the end products of the decisions they make. Hot garbage has been slung at UT football for a long time. When will it stop?

I am 100% sure the Haslams are a problem in this state. How much leverage with UT I can only speculate but the Browns are trash and the governor is anything but conservative. How do you separate yourself from a family like that?

I've always wondered how it would look if the Haslams stepped away and the AD etc were allowed to make their own decisions. They may be good at selling gas and slurpies but their record in football speaks for itself.

All one has to do is look at the dumpster fire that the Cleveland Browns have been under the Haslam leadership. They are behind every major decision at the entire university. Of course it is them pushing for Schiano.

Jimmy Haslam III is 100% pulling the strings. And the blame for the past 11 years of UT football falls directly on him.

I don't know anything about Schiano. Could be good, could be bad. However, this entire process is starting to look like the Dooley hiring. Hamilton got desperate and found someone who said yes.

Maybe Tennessee football is not as attractive as we all think it is . Is that a possibility?

Of course it's not. I'm a huge Vol fan, and I don't think it's an attractive position right now.

I hoped this was all over when Cheek's left but I was wrong.

Now I must look at the Browns and UT football / One in the same.
