Who is our Starting QB next year...

Yes Tee Martin led us to a National Championship with the same talent and even though he didn't get his shot in the NFL he led an NFL Europe team to a championship after that. In my opinion Brent Schaffer did alot better job with the offense their freshmen year than Ainge did. Atleast he had a warrior attitude, broke his collarbone and came back in the game.

The only thing Brent did better than Erik was run.

First thing first. Tee Martin stuck with the Steelers for awhile as a 3rd string backup.

Secondly, Brent wasn't a very good QB at all. He could scramble yes but have you happened to see any Ole Miss games the past two seasons?

Ainge playing with a broken finger on his throwing hand for a season gets no credit, but a broken collarbone does? Odd.

If Crompton doesn't get the chance to start after being here all this time and waiting for his turn, it'll be really hard to recruit new qbs in the future. I'm just saying..

What a load! Try recruiting kids when they know that they won’t get to start even if they’re the most talented player at their position on the team.

Does UT have any highly regarded Junior or Senior QB's on their radar as far as recruiting goes? Wasn't Crompton a Top 10 rated QB recruit when he was coming out of high school?

first look at the difference in talent at Tennessee and Ole Miss and second have you ever broke either, thereis a big difference.

Yeah Brent couldn't play with a broke collarbone. So his being a "warrior" for wanting to play is absurd. He could not have played had he wanted to.

I guess throwing a football with a broken finger is easy.

You must have not watched that game, because he did come back in for the rest of that series, and ainge was never consistently accurate whether his finger was broke or not

If Crompton is not the starting QB after spring practice and going in to the fall, I will be shocked!
I think Coleman is going to be a great QB, and I think he is probably the real deal, but he will have to wait two years, because I believe Crompton will prove very quickly he is definitely the real deal.
