Let's get real here, Meyer was 12-1 so far this season(or 11-1, either way). I doubt he left because of Kiffin. This would have been an epic coaching rivalry

Les Miles dont need any help, He is one of the worst coaches in the sec. He got a championship because he got Sabins team. The Ole Miss game and clock management shows that. What kid would want to go there the way he threw his QB under the bus. Saying he didnt tell the qb to spike the ball. Look it up on youtube. lol

It won't be anything as blunt as last year with slive watching every word, but I expect the suggestive jabs at a Spurrier to continue. Lane may have seriously gotten under CUM's skin but anyone suggesting he is stepping down due to that needs to get their head checked. Even the broken heart over Tebow argument makes a million times more sense then that.

A 45 year old with these problems must be under a lot of stres...

give me a break...there is alot more to this story...NFL maybe?....Didnt get the raise he wanted....recruiting problems in the near future...there is more than some stress....:zeitung_lesen:

Does anyone think Fla. Will get ole ball coach to come back? With L.K and S.S hatered for each other already,IMO it would bring this rivalry to a whole new level. Cause we all know S.S loves to talk smack and he really can't do that at USClite , cause he can't win there but if he was at Fla. then we know there will be a lot of hate comming into each Tn vs. Fla. game.

Kiffin went after Urban because he was the main competition in the east. He was the man to beat in order to reach the SEC championship game. I would be willing to bet Kiffin's words are a little more tame now that things have changed (unless they hire a big mouth at Florida).

He's stepping down because of the stress. You can't really argue that Kiffin didn't make Urban's job at least a bit more stressful.

I think it's the stress, which none of us true orangeclad soldiers can deny CLK added to his plate. Combined with losing his favorite "boy toy" (with all due respect) and knowing all the pressure of replacing said "boy toy" (Tebow)......IMO.........

I would say Lane was annoying to him but the stress came from Florida more than from TN. It's a strange situation, the more you win the harder your job gets as a coach (and his was about to become impossible). Tebow was a big factor too (for lots of different reasons). I think he was very wise for leaving at this time. He will be considered one of the best college coaches of all time, he is a legend at Florida, he accomplished about as much as you can as a head coach, and he had no where to go but down (imo).

I daresay Kiffin thinks Saban is too dangerous to attack right now. I mean, you're talking about the guy who has had 2 consecutive perfect regular seasons and now a shot at the national title! If Kiffin had read any history books, I think that once he gets all of this great talent like Saban has, he will rekindle the age-old rivalry!

Here's to Florida hiring Jim Harbaugh. I could see those 2 getting into a fistfight.
