Who is Jeremy Pruitt?

This is so stupid.

Pruitt is an excellent football coach. He’s said repeatedly that UT has extremely low talent to compete in the SEC. This is not 1998. It’s twenty years of mediocrity that someone has to clean up.

I think he has a good understanding of reality. UT isn’t very good.
When did Georgia St get their SEC invite?

Pathetic

Once again may I point out it was FREAKIN GEORGIA STAAAAATE. They won 2 FREAKIN games last year. We played at HOME. We paid them $950,000 to kick our ass. We now resume your regular programming.

We may need to consider UK and AU games were flukes.

I know what I saw last year and Pruitt could coach but something has changed his personality. He’s not the same coach that UT hired. I first noticed his change during the spring and then during fall camp. But, now I see it affecting this teams performance because they lost their intensity, and fight.

He's the same. Go back and read DG's TL;DR threads after last years 1st game and his season recap. The difference is your hope. You saw things differently because you wanted to. Sorry bro. I doubt you will accept this answer. And i fully expect you to disagree.

I think there’s something going on in the locker room. Not improving is one thing. Regressing and showing no effort or fire means something far worse

Yes, there’s certainly a disconnect with the players and the coaches.

It started after Pruitt blew up at one of the players at the end of the Kentucky game last season and they haven’t played with any heart or desire since then.

They need to get it fixed fast.

And Saban lost to a terrible Louisiana Monroe team when he first got to Alabama and didn’t have all his own players. Point being Pruitt needs to play his guys.

He wasn't "competing in the SEC" yesterday.

FWIW, I also believe he is an excellent football coach. And recruiter.

Now, is he more than a DC? Is he HC material? Can he win in the SEC?

Those are the questions to ask. Based on yesterday, initial returns are not favorable.

Saban had his gaggers. Maybe this was Jeremy's. Time will tell.
Saban never stood emotionless on the sidelines win lose or draw like Pruitt & Co did last night. Even when he’s winning Saban will get in somebody’s grill when they make a mistake. He demands focus and excellence and won’t sit back passively and accept ANYTHING less. That’s how you build a championship team. Last night was a shameful display and a blight on the pride and storied tradition of TENNESSEE football at Neyland.

Ever been to Tallahassee...those coeds are freaking hot and above 18 years old...

Oh no doubt my man! But when your fiance tells you that you are in so deep you either got to leave Tallahassee or she gone it's pretty bad. I think we all know what he chose. I hear his wife isn't to happy in Knoxville either 🤔

Wow. Maybe the most ignorant comment I’ve ever seen. We had such a massive talent advantage over the team we played it’s not even funny. How on gods green earth could you defend his coaching ability after a performance like we just saw. And the op is absolutely right to question why he didn’t even seem to care or show any emotion when we were behind in the game. Just absolutely mind-boggling that we lost, but also that the coach just is so indifferent.

His personality is different, he’s not coaching like he was after every play.

His body language suggests that he’s not concerned about winning, he’s just going through the motions now, whereas last season he would lose his mind of players made mistakes.

He has lost his desire, passion, and intensity and that’s what made him a good football coach imho.

This job is too big for him and I think he’s finally starting to realize it.

Toughen up or leave.

The Ga State loss is Chaney. I don’t think I’ve seen a worse set of play calling.

The defensive play calling was far worse...It seemed to me at times we were in a 4-1, one linebacker backing the defensive front. You can't put pressure on the QB and can't cover the middle of the field, or stop the 3rd and short plays. Totally bizarre.

On one of the post game radio shows I seriously was like what is that dude on?! It was like he was drugged on downers. His speech was even very slow seeming.
