It's not hard to do but with iOS 6 around the corner & a new iPhone it may not be worth doing it now. It will probably take a couple months for an iOS 6 jailbreak to come out.

I'd like to clarify for those in TN who think they'll be able to watch it via ESPN Gameplan that you will be unable to watch it with through that medium. If you're outside of TN you'll be fine on Gameplan.

Also if you would like to view the PPV game in HD it will be on the same channel number as above you just add DASH & 1 to the number above. For example 785 (dash -) 1. The dash is the button in the bottom left corner of the DirecTV remote beside the 0. DirecTV I believe is the only provider that will be offering College Football PPV games in HD this year.

Anyone know the PPV price for DirecTV in the Knoxville market? It hasn't been updated on the link shown above. Thought I'd ask here before I have to call them. Trying to decide if I should let my father-in-law order it via Comcast - $25.

I had mine jailbroken but reversed it b/c I couldn't find the good stuff to customize mine. What did you download (1) to get the Power T in place of the carrier name and (2) the orange battery? Also, have you been able to find a good UT slider and/or UT SMS background?

The rights for the ppv in Tennessee is held by Video Seat PPV. Unless they bought HD cameras you won't be getting it in HD. More like blur vision.... It's the sheetist coverage out there and they charge 30 dollars for it. It's a ripoff. If I can stream it, the coverage should be about as good as what you will get with video seat's blur vision. I wish i knew someone in Kentucky. I'd ride up and pay for gamplan for a day. Their coverage is actually HD and you can get it for about 10 dollars less and you get all the games for the whole day.

The power T is part of a zeppelin package. The orange battery is simply an orange battery. I don't have a UT slider but I have various orange ones. There isn't an SMS theme I'm aware of but I have a bud light one. With iOS 6 & a new iPhone coming I'm gonna miss my jailbreak for the customization & a lot of other tweaks.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind. I had that orange slider package but it never looked right with the lockscreen image I was using. I was using the Absinthe JB and, at this point, I think I'll wait until they have one for iOS 6 and try it again.

$39.95 on DirecTV inside the state of Tennessee.
PPV channel 786 and unfortunately its not in HD. When I posted earlier in the week they had 3 HD PPV channels up and then Wed night I noticed only HD ch 787-1 and now its confimed that is Florida A&M @ Oklahoma that will be on that channel so we are stuck with SD again this year and the price went up :no:

Must be signed in to your DirecTV online account but it will be available to watch on all receivers in the house where as if you order with the remote its only available on the receiver you order it on. Also if you order online you can choose whether to charge the game to your bill or pay immediately with a Credit Card or Checking Acct.

Well I remember last year watching the Derek Dooley Show after the Montana PPV game and the replay of the game from VideoSeat sure looked like it was shot in HD very crisp picture quality and it was 16:9 widescreen. This was on channel 8.2 MyVLT which is carried in 720p HD (with an off-air antenna)

Also, as far as I know ESPN Gameplan is not carried in HD on any television providers in the U.S.
