I can't see myself shelling out 35 40 dollars to watch a glorified scrimmage. If there is a live stream that might be the route i take.

Yes.

But it it's his first game, you should take him to a nicer game. Get the real experience. Not just a tune up experience.

I have thought of that also. People will start leaving at the start of 4th qtr.
The stadium will be almost empty by end the game.

I think I will take him to a better game for his first one.

I've bought PPV for every game since 07 except Wyoming. I probably won't get PPV for this one. It's nothing more than a tuneup for Florida. I really want to watch the other SEC matchups this week and see how those teams look.

If you have a smart phone, just download a radio app and stream from a local station or livestream from their website. I've done this and plugged my phone jack into the aux input of my car stereo to have it play through the speakers.
Good idea. I'm going to give it a shot unless GaVol can use his connections to get some radio station near Cordele that pushes at least 50k watts to joint the Vol Radio Network this week.

There was a Tennessee fan who streamed all the games, both football and basketball. He has a facebook page where he announces early in the week if he's going to have it. I have lost the link after reformatting my hard drive.

Update:
Nevermind. I found it.

Here is the link.

I'll probably do that and send a $5 donation, or more if I plan on watching more games.

I am buying. Also giving my four tickets to employees. How messed up is that? Of course, I will be using the tickets for Florida. Can't wait. Go Vols.

What channel on DirecTV?

I can't find it on my guide.

The official DirecTV channel number & price won't be released until Thursday. But there are only 3 possible DirecTV PPV channel #'s it will be on for those inside the state of TN that are blacked out on ESPN Gameplan.

785 (785-1 HD)
786 (786-1 HD
787 (787-1 HD)

Also if you would like to view the PPV game in HD it will be on the same channel number as above you just add DASH & 1 to the number above. For example 785 (dash -) 1. The dash is the button in the bottom left corner of the DirecTV remote beside the 0. DirecTV I believe is the only provider that will be offering College Football PPV games in HD this year.

DirecTV should update this page by Thursday with all the official details: DIRECTV College Football - Pay Per View Games
