I didn’t even notice it. Saw him chewing JG our and thought it was deserved. He shouldn’t do it but I don’t think it’s something to get up in arms over. Maybe if he grabbed it and held on for the whole butt chewing.

Hell when I was playing if I screwed up I had coaches damn near rip my head off grabbing my facemask and screaming at me on what I did wrong...I didn't mind it and never thought bad of it, It was normal and it was a tough game and if you were gonna cry about something like that then you didn't belong on the field....We weren't wusses back then....But today these kids need a safe place and reassurance....Suck it up buttercup and do better next time!

I thought it was very restrained. I personally would have voted for a pile drive or body slam at that point in time. For most of us fans who grew up in the 70's, that is so mild compared to what high school football was like then. It's just no big deal.

There’s a gif in one thread of Saban chewing a player out in which he rares back and slaps player on the ass. Much more violent than what Pruitt did last night.

Honestly what Saban did in that situation doesn’t bother me one little bit either.

Look I don’t have a problem with either one. But I would have preferred him not to do it. And as strange as it is to say, ass slapping has been a part of sports forever. Grabbing face masks you don’t see much these days. Now CJP certainly didn’t give him the Jimbo treatment.

Going in to last night I was not a Pruitt fan he is an awful Coach and we are not going to win with him as Coach but since he tugged JG’s face mask I will over look the fact he is still a terrible coach but now I hope we keep him even tho he can’t coach! Damn we are desperate! 🤷‍♂️

Had a coach grab me by my face mask and while screaming at me he gave me a shower of Skoal spit. He wasn’t trying to spit in my face but the man lived with a dip in his mouth and he was pissed.

He had another trick of acting like he was picking up rocks on the practice field, would holler at you with a “here, catch!” I fell for that........ once.

Pruitt showed great restraint imo.

It’s been overblown by the media.

A tug to get his attention is all it was.

If that was my son I would have no problem with it at all.

Actually, I would have no problem with it if Pruitt stuck his foot up his ass!!!!!!

I didn’t like it. If it was my one of my sons I would have a huge problem with it. I think it’s really interesting as a society what we accept from coaches that we would not accept from anyone else in regards to our kids. But I’m obviously in the minority.

Had an E - 6 in my face in the army for
screwing up. He had every right. I come close
to a butt kicking Didn't make same mistake
twice but took it like a man. Didn't go whining
to mom and dad either
