Who gets the nod if Crompton is benched?

Stevens is definitely who will get the start but if its taken 4 games for us to get one of the two backups in it makes you wonder how great these guys will be

Are you serious???? It's public knowledge that if Crompton gets benched our qb will be Gerald Jones...

I usually try and stay away from qouting myself but this is necessary...

Apparently that was a very poor attempt at sarcasm...

I agree. Whether or not you like CPF, I just have a hard time believing he wouldn't put in someone who was even close to showing him something positive in practice.

i'll be amazed if they play worse than what's been displayed under center so far this season

I just don't understand why a QB change would get any worse,If your starting QB can't even move the ball with the field advantage that we had yesterday, how can the backup do much worse.

Maybe if all the receivers took turns wearing Jones' jersey then this would have never happened...

This is what is really scary. I'm afraid neither one of the backups are worth much either. It seems like if Fulmer wanted to he could have let one of the backups start because Crompton's ankle was in too bad of shape.

Let's say Crompton gets benched this Saturday, and Nick or BJ gets to start. If one of them do a decent job and gets to start the rest or the season, will Crompton get it though his head that he's not a good qb and work on it throughout the season and off-season to maybe become a better qb and comeback and start next season?

Unless he comes out playing like Peyton Manning, then the crowd will never accept him back. His first pick or bad pass will cause mass booing again...

If Coleman or Stephens play well against NIU, then I expect one (or both) of them to play against UGA. Unless they blow up worse than Crompton (which is hard to imagine), then I expect one of them to claim the starting job for keeps.

Hopefully, Crompton will (a) declare for the NFL draft (waste of time), or (b) claim someone else's Mormom mission.

Either way, it's a plus for UT football.

go vls.

Crompton has had his chance..UT has never gave another QB this much slack that I know of.

They pulled Ainge QUICK and went to Clauson.

We have nothing to loose at this point!

He is big and was I think rated fairly high out of HS

I think Fulmer is scared to make a change,he doesn't want to take a chance on losing to N.Illinois.Lets just hope we can score some big points on this team so Stephens can get a work out.
