Butch Jones? Holly? Serrano?

The better get this hire right. Looks like they will be hiring at least two or more replacements for coaches listed above!

Holly will be first since her season will end right about the time we get a new AD. Serrano is good until next year and CBJ has a couple more at least. JMO

Holly, unless she resigns.
It seems to me Serrano has trouble recruiting guys that don't go pro before school.
If Butch can hire some new asst. with the management mess that prevails, he will be around for a while.

Likely that CBJ goes after next year if he finished 7 - 5 or worse as I predict. He is to much of a control freak to hire the best available and that will ultimately be his undoing.

You know this how? No matter how much you say it, it won't be true.

I believe AD will give Holly one year with her super recruiting class but that she has to make changes to staff that has been with her awhile. The only change she made was new hire this past year and she was gold on recruiting trail.

From another thread

I hate this but I feel it is inevitable. I absolutely loved the Dave Serrano hire, that hire was a huge splash hire and one that showed we were serious about making the basevols legit again. The dude developed one hell of a program and was at the top at Fullerton. It's a shame he hasn't had the same success here

It goes to show that you can ante up and get one of the big boys but it's not guaranteed to work in your favor.

Butch will be here for awhile unless he wants to leave. Don't underestimate what a true professional Strength Coach can do even in one year. Guys he is Old school when it comes to Power lifts and New School on conditioning but most important he will demand respect in weight room this has been missing for awhile.

Serrano has a very good recruiting class coming in and if any luck that is not bad I think he is safe for another 1 or 2 years. Our problems are a lot larger than Vbaseball. Holly is sad to say going to get another chance because of next years recruiting class and she should be on a short rope. Jones is looking for a way out every years according to rumor and next year with a 7-5 he will get his wish. I do think they will let him leave on his own to save money.

Holly, although I'm not absolutely sure it will be after this season, barring an epic collapse like losing the majority of their games and not making the NCAA tournament. It's really sad to see her struggling so much to coach, and the great class coming in really will make this a tougher decision than it should. Serrano could be first if his team performs like last year. Jones has next year for sure. No guarantees after that if they don't perform and Vol fans voice their displeasure in the turnstiles.

I saw it reported that UT sports finished last in the SEC for fall sports. I would say that each and every sport would be getting a thorough review. We could see quite a few staff changes over the next year. Obviously, Lady Vols bball is a big concern. The soccer coach's contract is expiring and needs to be addressed. Ms Davenport needs to get the AD hire done so that all the issues can be addressed.

She's struggling to say the least, but I think she's also getting some slack because she followed Pat Head. Its a less important hire than football.

Every bit of that is true but it doesn't excuse the fact that she has driven a powerhouse completely into the ground.

With all these needs that has got to be addressed hopefully Ms. Davenport is going to make this AD pick a very high priority as she should. I have been a Blackburn backer since day one but she may feel he has too much an attachment to many in these staff. So be it and let her do diligence in the selection. If she goes outside the Vol families and this whole sh pile goes to hello then this is on her. Soccer coach will get 1 more too in my opinion. Volleyball still sucks and the only thing that has stayed the same is the coach so who knows1 JMO

Ball security, tackling, and run fits are bigger issues then the scapegoating of the strength program.
