What a joke this guy is. He's been saying Iran is just 5 years away from a nuke for about 20 years...

Benjamin Netanyahu gives bizarre presentation saying Iran is cheating on nuclear deal

His job is to protect his nation's security so I don't blame him for keeping the issue front and center when he can.

The problem with him is two-fold. First, he says that the point of his constantly raising an alarm about Iran is to avoid the need for armed conflict. Second, it seemed like to avoid it he is promoting armed conflict.

It's sad you're trying to discredit Netanyahu, primarily because he's a friend to Trump. Got it.

But, do you seriously believe that the old men in Tehran are our friend and are to be fully trusted?

LOL, what? I don't care who is friends with Trump.

I don't think we have any friends in this world right now... I include Israel, The Saudis, UK and France among them.

Former Mossad Chief Stuns Audience By Admitting Iran "Not Even Close" To Getting Nuclear Bomb | ZeroHedge

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid is in Washington D.C. to meet with top Biden administration officials for talks centered on Iran as well as the Gaza Strip and other security-related matters. As expected, Lapid warned US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan that Iran is on brink of becoming a "nuclear threshold state".

The influential former Mossad director Yossi Cohen suggested this precisely in Tuesday comments that raised eyebrows. The Israeli intelligence veteran commander said in reality that Iran is "not even close" to getting a nuclear weapon - though he chalked this up largely to Israeli's sabotage and espionage efforts targeting the Iranians.

"I think that Iran, to this day, is not even close to acquiring a nuclear weapon... This is due to longstanding efforts by some forces in the world," he said in response to a question by Jerusalem Post intelligence reporter Yonah Jeremy Bob, which included references to Israeli covert actions in the Islamic Republic.

I really couldn’t care less if Israel and/or Iran has nuclear capability. They’re thousands of miles away from us, they’re not our problem as far as I’m concerned.

It's only a matter of time when one of these rougue nations set off a nuclear explosion either intentionally or by nutcases within the chain of command.

Plop it on top of a missile and our nation is in focus very quickly. If countries start nuking each other it also affects us in a big way

Their missiles would have to cross the ocean to hit us. I imagine we would see that coming and blow it up a la the iron dome Israel has.

We need to focus on being self sustainable as a nation if/when the Middle East blows itself up.

Some “kook” named Churchill spent the entire 1930s warning about a crazy Austrian former corporal and painter who was rearming Germany, but everybody laughed at him as I recall. Crazy old man 😉
Might want to read up on Churchill and Iran.

I will give you a hint, he is to blame for this current mess.

The point was that lonely voices in the wilderness pointing out threats shouldn’t always be ignored. Churchill got many things wrong, but he was dead right about the threat Hitler posed, even as Chamberlain and his team bent over backwards to appease Germany. I hope you do not disagree with that point?

No but I figured you would dodge the question.

You clearly didn’t understand my post, so I’ll try to explain it.

What are the positives of any country having nuclear capabilities? They have the ability to defend themselves or nuke other countries if they want to. That’s the positive for Iran. It’s the positive for us too. We’re on equal ground. Like you said, we’re not the arbiter of who should/shouldn’t have nuclear weapons. But go on with your globalist rhetoric.

We should be ready for any and all threats. We can do that by shoring up defenses in our own land instead of getting directly involved via bombing Iran.

Sure thing homie. I just wanted your thoughts on the positives of them obtaining nuclear capabilities. Globalist rhetoric? Where da fug did you come up with that? I posed the question because some would argue against a country like Iran obtaining nukes because they have a history of supporting terrorism.

And just leave one of our staunchest allies in the whole world, Israel, to fend for themselves against a madman regime in Tehran? And if Iran gets nukes, how safe would you feel, no matter how well “defended” our own land was, considering Iran’s connections to multiple terrorist groups? There are multiple strategies available short of attacking Iran. But trying to appease them with pallets of cash and sweetheart deals the way Biden and Obama tried is most assuredly NOT a prudent game plan IMO.
