Hurd would have 2000 yards if we ran wishbone or I formation. But now days its either pro or spread offense. I will dream of amsler blocking for Hurd tonight.

Really wish we would do that more often. I hate seeing us line up in the shotgun when it's 3rd or 4th and less than a yard to go.

Hurd is a good player in any offense but man it would be awesome to see him with a fullback leading the way

Hurd could easily go for 2K if we could throw well enough to force teams into coverage.

Really nice add to the offense today. But I think we benefited from NW not being prepared for it.

...or Roland Poles ("the human bowling ball")

Besides, Amsler was a good RB as well. I was at a game in 1989 against Ole Miss (at Ole Miss) and Amsler ran it so many times straight I lost count. I was a cold, November rainy day in Oxford. UT won.....of course.

loved seeing Dobbs under center and Hurd in a deep set?

Running a power running formation would mean we wouldn't need 15 wide receivers, who catch very few passes, on the roster. Which could mean more lineman, tight ends and running backs on the team.
