Who do you want tonight if Dooley fails.

It is becoming obvious that he has a very tough road to hoe. He seems like a good guy. He's funny and represents us well, but he can't coach a lick. Chaney runs the offense and Wilcox the defense. Dooley is a CEO guy. I get it. He delegates authority. We need more than that though. We need either a defensive or an offensive architect. We have nothing to hang our hat on. I would hire Gus Malzahn or Bobby Petrino. I think Dooley is just delaying the process. I am trying really hard to support him, but we are Zach Rogers. No way a good coach keeps running him out there. Dooley is a little league coach. He's in over his head. I would trade him for any coach in the SEC, maybe even Houston Nutt. It's unbelievable we hired a guy from La. Tech with a losing record. I hate to see us like this. If I saw improvement I would not be saying this, but I don't want to keep starting over. We need a coach who can get this thing on track. Dooley hasn't done anything to suggest he it's the guy. He has lost the players and is losing the fans. He's getting shorter all the time. We need to have a plan in the works. The new AD needs to step up. I believe he will after next season.

Peyton Manning disagrees with you. He said tonight he was a Dooley guy and he would get it turned around. Just sayin.

who do i want tonight if dooley fails?

zooey deschanel

same if he does not fail, that's who i want

(1) Weren't the first several season with Johnny Majors as coach as bleek or worse than we are experiencing now?

(2) We already are paying plenty of former coaches with pay outs, plus Hamilton. How many former coaches do you suggest we continue to keep on our payroll? Do you want to add Dooley,Wilcox & Chaney also?

(3) I thought that less than 2 seasons ago, we tried every name imaginable to get interested in this job oportunity, but none took the bait. Butch Davis, Cowher, Gruden, Lovie Smith, Chris Petersen, Muschamp,
etc. etc. and none of them even came for a visit.
The best we could get was Texas Tech's fired coach.
To us, this is a wonderful job BUT to other coaches, they see an S.E.C. East schedule with USC, UGA, and Florida every season. To add Bama, each season and occasionally L.S.U., Auburn or Arkansas. Then Tennessee is not a hot bed for recruiting. So, to an outsider, this is not a great job.

Let's leave things the way they are. Hart will figure this all out. In the worse case scenerio, Dooley will end up being Mike Shula Jr. and begin building our team, but won't be able to coach. Then Hart will make a homerun hire, like "Bama" did with "Satan" and we will be in business.
The best case scenerio, we will over take USC & UGA in a couple of seasons, then we can play Florida tough and get to an S.E.C. Championship game again. We build on that success and Dooley stays......
Either way, we will be fine!!!!!!!!!

Nice post but I really feel that we have the talent on the team and with our current commit's to be much better than Ga and Florida next year. Lane and Neal are coming into their own. Young is uber impressive. The O-line actually knocked some tiger teeth out today. Next years wide receiving crew is going to be man eat man for playing time. Our defense had a great first half and is really showing some grit. The only weakness in this D is our corners, just not enough speed. We got beat by the number 1 team in the nation today. Beat bad. No excuse but reason number one - no passing game.

Bullsh it. Name one other BCS team that has lost as much talent to injury and is winning.

My point is 1.5 years into Dooley era and we haven't beaten a team with a winning record. I don't see improvement, we seem to be getting worse. I understand everything that has happened since fulmer left. At the end of the day he has not been getting it done. I realize he will be here probably 2 more years but I dont think he is the answer. That's my opinion. If you don't agree that's fine.

We don't have our quarterback, our best WR, our best returning LB, and our best returning member of the secondary. And, we are absolutely improved when Bray is playing. You see what you want to see, and that is you don't/never liked Dooley, so you're pretending like you're shocked we're not looking like world-beaters with all of our best players hurt.

We have gotten a lot better. Compare having bray hunter and Rogers in there compared to what you saw today which was last years offense. And you can't honestly say that with them healthy we haven't gotten better. Fact is we have gotten a lot better but injuries made our offense regress which is normal! We lost our play makers! And our defense is better are you sure were watching the same team play

god, I'm not reading anything on volnation again for the rest of the season, too many negative people on here. Yes, we suck right now. It doesn't help that we lost two of our best players in Bray and Hunter during the season along with dismissing Jackson before it even started. With no depth, we're not going to do well no matter who the coach is. Everyone is disappointed in our results, but stop being whiny little girls...the rest of this year looks dim, but this is what we have to work with for this year. At the very least for this season, support your team and your coach! No more of these stupid a$$ posts. *rant over, and deleting volnation bookmark*

PS, no way in hell I would support Houston Nutt...

You're going to get to a point where no coach would want to be at UT if the fanbase wants them out after two seasons.

Lets see. No one who knows anything about football thought we would go undefeated this year. We have lost to the teams we were supposed to lose to. I still think we go 7-5 and beat SC and to me with the schedule we have that's not a bad season considering where we were last year

This thread has microwave fix written all over it. Fact is....tennessee is a crock pot fix. Throw it in the microwave and it steams...looks ok but could b better and tastes ok. But throw it in the crockpot... Let it marinade for while and cook in it own juices and it not only looks better, but tastes incredible. Give him and this young team time.

Can you explailn how in the heck Dooley has lost the players? That idea is just plain stupid. You tell me any other team that would lose players like Janzen, Hunter, and Bray, and still be competitive; especially given the lack of depth at most all of the key positions. Give it a rest. It is obvious you don't like CDD and would like to see him fail. What do you know about the game of football besides being an armchair qb with an axe to grind?

Jeez...I leave for a few hours and I miss this clown.:eek:lol: Classic VN.:eek:lol:

Even as demoralized as I am as a fan right now, I still recognize that the absolute last thing we need right now is another coaching change.

I don't think u have made one single valid point in ur post. Not one.

If you can't see improvement from last year then you haven't been watching the right games because it is very apparent we are better in areas and a better overall team, while other areas we are still trying to improve.

I hate to lose, but I also believe CDD has us headed up and next year is when we really begin to see results on the field in terms of wins.

Stop w the negavol bs...we don't need it, Kentucky could always use another fan tho-u sure as hell won't be missed here.

It would be better if trolls like you would leave and go hate another team.

WOW, talk about a quitter, join the rest of ( I want to go 12-0 over night crew. ) jeez.....UNREAL!

What is this thing about 2013? What happened to 2012? Have we already given up on it? Are we young and inexperienced again next year, three years in? If Bray, Rogers, and Hunter are the real deal, they'll be gone in 2013. And we'll be "rebuilding."

Everybody with a brain knew we were in a rough stretch for the next few years with the talent level that the likes of Fulmer, Chavis, Cutcliff, Kiffin left behind, no matter how hard you win now guys try the majority are not going to get on the fire him express, jmo.

It would take an idiot to want to fire Dooley this year. But you would have to be equally as foolish to not have concerns about the football program.

Mods. Could you create a thread called "NegaVols" and merge all these kind of crap threads into one place. Save space on the board and they could all get in there and try to out-do each other.
