After all the years of wandering through the wilderness and not getting to 6 wins, I no longer take bowl games for granted. So while I know many of you won’t agree (and I certainly understand that), I’m excited that we get to play a bowl game again, even though the regular season didn’t end the way we wanted it to. I was wondering who you all would like to see us matched up with. I think Michigan and USC would be fun games.

Won’t play Michigan since we will play Music city or mayo bowl.

To be honest, I couldn’t care less. Those going pro will be thinking about the combine. Same w those who declare early. Most of the above won’t play imo.

The seniors not good enough for NFL will play.

Bowl games used to mean more. The location, recruiting advantages, fan excitement,

I’m old enough to remember the old days of Tennessee high school football when only 8 teams statewide made the playoffs. Back then, there were postseason bowl games for high school teams who missed the playoffs and typically these matchups were teams who rarely played each other, fun for the teams and the fans.

As time went along, the TSSAA eventually added more and more teams and classifications for the playoffs to the point where the bowl games became obsolete.

Honestly, I don’t really care if we go to a bowl game or where it may be. I don’t think it really helps in developing younger players as many believe, with so many players opting out, I don’t think they care either.

Why can’t we play Michigan in the Music City Bowl? It has SEC / Big 10 tie ins.

While it's getting kind of cliche at this point-kicking the crap out of iowa again would end the year on a high note and calm the current troubled sees in Knoxville

Basically - I want us to just kick the crap out a slow and over rated team just on principle. Onside kicks when up by 30. Flea flickers when up by 50.

Would do a world of good for the current mood around here.

Just watched press conference so not in the best mood. Embarrassing to see our head coach look and sound like a bumbling idiot. Dude, stop w the gum!

They should forfeit and save themselves the embarrassment

I'll take an unranked BIG 10 school like Minnesota or Nebraska. Get an easy win to get us to 9 overall. Hopefully we can hold on to a decent signing class and add more talent in the portal. Then we might have some small momentum to work with.
