The Accomplishments of Fulmer's Recruiting Prowress

56 players drafted by the NFL from 1999-2007 and NO, NADA, NIL, ZERO, 0, SEC Championships.
26 players drafted from 2003-2007 and proceeded to lose 16 games while posting a 21-11 SEC record.
17 players off the 2005 and 2006 teams were invited to the NFL combines in 2006 & 2007. (5-6 record in 05 and a combined 14-10 record for both seasons.)

Jim Leavitt, USF
Gary Patterson, TCU
Greg Sciano, Rutgers
Gary Kubiak, Denver Broncos
Kevin Steele, Bama
Dale Jones, Appy State
Jim Mora, Jr., Seattle Seahawks

...and though I doubt it will happen:
Bill Cowher
Jon Gruden

I would be happy with Kubiak. Or Gruden might think "Hey, Pete Carrol sucked in the NFL and is kicking serious ass in college.Maybe I should try that"

How about Bill Belicheck---after this spygate thing in the NFL, he may be ready to move on.

What about Ron Rivera, Jim Haslett, or Bob Bratkowski? They have had their ups and down in the NFL and may want to try the college game. Haslett and Rivera know defense and Bob Brat (though he may be a little too old) has done a decent job with the Cincy offense.

Bobby Petrino. After he figures out the PROs aint what they are cracked out to be. Unfortunately that scenario would probably be a few years down the road.

Greg Shiano RUTGERS>>>>> One heck of a coach.

It really doesn't matter who the next coach is. We all know this because it will be someone from "the family" This is the way it has always been and will be. All of us as fans, boosters, alum, and just downright lovers of UT Football have to settle for whomever they choose. I somewhat agree with the post that says that we need to stop going to the games. Let them see our beloved Neyland Stadium empty for a home game-or even bring back the paper sacks that say Vol-in-tears. We love the game and we love our school, but what pride do we have anymore when this year looks to end up as a 5-6 season? I will always support UT and the VASF, but not another dime of my money will be spent on Phil and his Phudpuckers-I'm sorry, but he has to go!

I think Bobby Petrino, will pull a Nick Saban and find out that he will not have success in the NFL. But he will be in Atl next year. Obviously Cowher and Gruden is on everybody's list. If Chavis is gone, hire Dale Jones to coach LB's and be the DC or let Brooks be the DC. Wut about former UAB coach and current TN Tech coach Watson Brown. He is from Cookeville and his brother is Mack, coach of TX. But on 2nd thought I dont think hes the coach to lead us to the promise land. I think Tommy Tuberville will be finding a job after this year. Especially after USF and MS St losses. I dont get it, we were like what 57-3 or sumthin like that, with Fulmer as HC, Cut as OC, and Chief as DC. Now that record is forgotten. Fire all 3 of em. Let em all go start a program @ ETSU.

If the Falcons keep playing as bad as they have so far, it wont be long.

Greg Schiano would be nice. But will he leave?Bo pellini would be an excellent choice.Look how stout the LSU defense is.

I would like Gregg Williams, defensive Co for the Redskins.
As long as he got a great offensive Co to go with him.

In a realistic world, I'd be checking out Leavitt, Mike Leach, Shiano, or Pellini. I'd love to see the kind of intensity and focus that USC and Florida have, not to mention their big play ability. After seeing the instant turnaround that Pearl gave us in basketball and the ineptitude of Phil to develop all of these high recruiting classes, we can not afford to miss on this hire. That is if we're lucky enough for Ham to get the message and take action.
