Who do you want if Fulmer

Wouldn't it be funny to steal Saban from the Bammers....oh the faces...we'd have two coaches in a row that Bammers would be threatening to assassinate.

We NEED to change something. i have been a big CPF supporter for a while. i have taken upi for him the past few years on this topic. I HAVE SEEN THE FREAKIN LIGHT!!!!!!!! Chief and Cut have sucked this year. We NEVER throw the ball down field and we never bring more than 4 guys on D. Keep Trooper, Roper, and Slade. FIRE the rest of their asses!!!!!!!! we need someone that has a past history of being a great offensive college coach.....GO GET NORM CHOW!!!! :good!:

Who i think you guys should go after, these are not listed in order just guys who i could think of off the top of my head

1. Bronco Mendenhall-BYU
2. Chris Peterson-Boise State
3. Kirk Ferentz-Iowa, give him some better talent and he could win, he does a decent job with the crap talent he gets at Iowa.
4. Tom O'Brian-NC State, he did a decent job at BC. NC State was a lateral move.
5. Mike Bellotti-Oregon. Not sure about him but he does run a spread offense. Teams seem to under perform however.
6. Gary Patterson-TCU- Ties to Texas(for recruiting) and he runs a spread option type of offense
7. Jim Grobe-Wake Forest
8. Jim Leavitt-USF, he has ties to Florida in recruiting, good offense, has done wonders at USF

I really liked Boise St offense, at least what I saw in the Bowl game against Oklahoma. I'd love to see their coach at UT

Tulsa just beat BYU.

I would mind seeing Arkansas ex-OC and now Tulsa's OC at UT as a coordinator.

I think we would have a better chance at getting General Neyland and Reggie White to coach here than Pete Carroll.
lol true honestly I dont know of any well known coaches that would be begging to come here... Saban went due to the large check he got but does anybody think he'll be at Bama for a long time? I sure don't.

Not starting anything, Peyton is certainly the best qb in the nfl, however, he didn't have the best o luck against Florida either.

yep. 0-4 in his career against florida. only difference is that back then tennessee was a really good team, just not good enough. tennessee was competitive in nearly every game they played. if there's one thing that fulmer has almost never had, it's a killer instinct. except for 1998, fulmer didn't have that in his heyday.

there are many many bad ideas int hsi thread

I agree. Whoever thinks Pete Carroll would ever, and I mean EVER consider leaving USC for another college team is incompetent.

I hate when people say Gruden won with "Dungy's players", when they totally ignore the fact of how good the Raiders were when he was there.

It also may just be me, but I'm not really astonished with Chris Petersen at Boise State. Yes he was a very good OC at Boise, but he has been a head coach for one year in his entire career at the formerly known D1A level.

I think its that type of high power offense that people are wanting and boise state is the poster boy of that. I still believe a NFL OC or DC is the best course of action.

Heres my top 10 list (hand any of the guys a blank check):

1. Pete Carroll
2. Chris Peterson
3. Schavino
4. Spurrier (he's a hometown boy and knows how to coach)
5. Mike Shula
6. Nick Saban
7. Jeff Tedford
8. Jim Tressel
9. Rich Rodriguez
10. Les Miles

Are you serious? Or did you just list the 10 coaches you could think of off the top of your head?

Out of all of these I'd take Spurrier in a New York Second. Whoever said he's a leftover from the 90's is smokin' weed.

If he came to Tennessee it'd be instant success. Instant.

Before ever reading this post I was thinking the head coach at Boise St. too though. Yet when I saw the highlights of Cal on ESPN last night I'd say get Tedford as fast as you can.

He's built a power at a West Coast team like Cal. When I looked at the highlights I saw big open spots in their stands there so the fan base there is lackluster at best.

You bring a dude like that to Tennessee who ate Phil's lunch after losing to him last year and the sky's the limit. He showed me he knows how to make adjustments. Or at least recruit guys with enough speed to leave the UT D in their dust.

Let's get USC's offensive coordinator!

Steve Sarkisian

Heck, I'd be willing to give LSU's Bo Pellini and interview. That defense is monstrous.

GREAT CALL! Trooper gets a promotion to run the O since Fulmer will take his boys with him (and dude can flat out recruit) and Pellini fixes the D. Very nice.

this absurdity should at least be considered for a ban

I'Brien is garbage. Bellotti is intriguing. Ferentz is Fulmer north. dude has great talent, but still sux. Patterson...hmmm...nice call. Of that list, gimme Leavitt. Doubt he'd leave though. USF has sumthin going and can own that conference in the next few years.

I'm wondering how long until the manadatory "Peyton would be a good Offensive Coordinator" post.
