who do you want for AD (merged)

Can't argue with this. I just wonder if Texas would name him AD in waiting, or something along that line, causing him to stick around. Dodds is getting up there in age and Worley may see the writing on the wall.

What we need to do is go out and get a proven commodity (AD or Asst AD) from the outside. The worst thing to do, would be to treat this situation like its a 1980's good ol boy club. College sports transcend regional lines these days and if we're not willing to look at all our options, regardless of regional affiliation, we'll be left behind.

Wasn't this Hamilton's justification for not pursuing Muschamp, that he was HC in-waiting at Texas? I say throw the money at him and force Texas to sh** or get off the pot.

wikipedia:

While Grunfeld was the Knicks top executive, New York advanced to at least the Conference Semifinals of the NBA Playoffs each season. He had five 50-plus win seasons, three Atlantic Division Championships, and two trips to the NBA Finals (in 1994 and 1999). In eight seasons as general manager or vice-president of player personnel, his Knicks teams had a record of 397–227 (.636), and a 61–44 record in the playoffs.
...Many people blamed him for the Knicks' poor play. However, they came within 3 games of winning the championship, losing to the San Antonio Spurs in 5 games.

he took the job as the Bucks' general manager on August 13, 1999, after 17 seasons with Knicks. He held the position for four seasons. The team’s 14 playoff wins during his tenure exceeded the team’s cumulative total in the 12 seasons prior to his arrival. The Bucks posted a record of 177–151 (.540), and never finished below .500, while making the playoffs three times.

considering what those franchises have done since he left, he doesn't look so bad

gay jokes are riotously funny. Shows massive intellect and keen wit. Love it.
Apples and oranges. Larry the Cable Guy makes a nice living with silly (if not crude) humor. Bill Gates couldn't make a dime as a comedian if he wanted to, so there goes your argument.

Al Gore. He is a Tennessean and would clean up Tennessee athletics (and make it carbon neutral). He also invented the internet so he could raise alot of money for the university online. Instead of repeating the maxims before every game our football players can repeat good sports always recycle.

I'm super-serial about this.

What are important qualities or accomplishments do we look for in a new ad? Come from a football school? Have ties to the university? Proven ability to raise money? Should we consider someone who hasn't been an ad before?

Like Calipari had World Wide Wes, I hope we eventually have a guy who has an attorney coming with him who will make Jimmy Sexton gnash his teeth.

The BOT gave Fulmer the buyout, but Jimmy has used our office to enrich his clients left and right and I hope that is over. No more fake interest. He is only surpassed in slime by Drew Rosenhaus.

Jimmy does his job well. I've known he and his family since 1979. Sounds like you get your vagina hurt quite often.

I'm disappointed that no one in this thread has mentioned me or my other VN name. We would do a great job.
