I think the very first person they should go after is Chris Del Conte the current AD at TCU. One of the biggest no brainers I've ever seen. Which means we probably won't even talk to him.

don't be surprised if the hire is in house and someone that works well with "boosters".

Vince McMahon. He could hire Ric Flair to be a one man cheerleading squad. It would make that pregame rotuine to pump up the crowd in Neyland far more entertaining.

I know. That's why I said they probably won't even talk to him. All these people calling for a UT connection will get what they want is my guess. But Del Conte is a a great AD IMO and would do wonders at UT.

Hey TXvol.. what about Bill Byrne? Atleast, if he came here, he won't have any more A&M fans asking him if he still had his "tongue stuck up Deloss Dodd's ***"

only kidding

If Phil gets it I would feel really bad for Dooley.

Imagine if Majors was the AD when Fulmer took over...

Also, doesn't Jimmy Cheek have the final say? If I remember right he is the one who got rid of Pearl and personally I think that was a mistake. So I'm not too confident he will make a good choice.

Not necessarily a want, but someone to consider...emphasis on consider: heath shuler

Man, you have got to be freakin' kidding me! What experience does Heath Shuler have to be AD at a school like UT. Being a US Rep doesn't count.

It's not going to be a Shuler, Holloway, Grunfeld or Charles Davis. It will probably be someone most of us have never heard of or would never consider. Fulmer may be the only exception, but I seriously doubt he is being considered due to his lack of experience in this capacity and do we even know he wants the job.

Why would you not want fulmer. Yall are crazy. I think he would be a great AD

He would bring the bitterness and baggage from his own clumsy dismissal. In practical terms, this will complicate his own hiring and, more importantly, firing decisions as an AD.

Recall that an issue with Fulmer in his coaching days was his arguably excessive loyalty to assistant coaches, a likable trait that nonetheless bred complacency.

Don't care as long as they can raise money.

raising money is the only thing MH could do. I say the hell with raising money, and get us some winning coaches, not a bunch of D-2 losing coaches.
