I'm suprised more people didn't choose Auburn. But I'm a little out of the loop, besides K. Irons I can't think of any big name guys they wont be returning. And they had a strong 2006.

They did alright. Their QB was disappointing. They beat Florida, but lost to the other decent teams they played. They're a pretty good bet to finish second in the West.

LSU was pretty decent last year.

Ah yes, I forgot about that one. As I recall, Auburn caught some huge break on a pass interference call at the end. That was Auburn's high point. After that, they really trailed off. Georgia smoked them mere weaks after losing to Vanderbilt and Kentucky.

So why is everyone so down on Miles as a coach?

His first 2 seasons LSU finishes in the top 10 and next year everyone predicts LSU to win the SEC.

But any coaching poll you see lists him in the middle of the SEC as a coach.

Because he was unimpressive at Oklahoma State and he has had incredible talent his first few years.

Miles went 28-21 at Okie State in 4 seasons. The 4 seasons prior, Okie State was 23-22, so, it's kind of impressive when you remember that Oklahoma and Texas were (and are) beasts.

They improved their win percentage 6%. He did an ok job, but he didn't do great.

Has anyone looked at the size of the Florida defensive linemen? They are tiny! Some starters and key backups are 5' 11" - 6' 1" and 230 - 280 lbs. If we can't run the ball down their throats this year I'm gona' be mad.

Yep... pretty funny how the game works. They beat LSU and Florida, and got torched by Arkansas and Georgia.
