Going with LSU, who will be the media favorite. If Miles cannot win the SEC with what he's got the Tigers might want to start shopping for a new hfc soon.

I thought LSU lost some key players to graduation, i.e. the QB. Is that not the case?

They did lose a lot offensively. I guess the expectation is that Flynn/Doucet won't skip a beat. Their defense is stacked with returning talent, though.

Yeah. I think if Matt Flynn plays anywhere near the way he did in the '05 Chick/Peach Bowl LSU will be fine at QB. It's probably hard to recall this given J. Russell's NFL draft position, but there was a little QB controversy in B.R. going into the '06 season.

I think Florida will be tougher then GA.

I think GA will have the advantage as the better team all up until the later-second half of the season. UF's D will have experience and despite how young their team is.. I believe the talent level they have is just too high. Anyone know the week of GA-UF? That could tell a lot about the strength.. of course, the same goes for our games against them.

I think LSU and UT are the top two teams. Right now, it's a toss-up in my head, but I'm always rooting for us. So I pick us, yeaah.. I know, too many holes. but right now I'm feeling good, therefor I feel good about our chances.

Matt Flynn is a class A follow up. Perriloux will be a viable back up and eventual starter. If this clicks fast and early, I look for LSU. I'm calling a long second for UT to be the dark horse painting all the towns orange. They never fail when nothing is expected of them.

One thing to consider about LSU is that they don't have Jimbo anymore. I didn't even think about that until today. New QB and new OC could cause a few problems, though their replacements aren't horrible.

Could be a handicap for Miles. Jimbo also helped with some fine recruiting and handled that offense. Miles did not have to worry about games schemes and paly calling. Miles will be planted in concrete in 2 years as recruiting strength lessens.
