I can assure you by living amongst them its TN. They don't consider AU a rival because that would show them respect. They see AU an AL wannabe.

Is the definition of "rival" the team that you are most evenly competitive with, the team you can't seem to ever get a leg up.on, or the team you just dislike the most? Seems like the answer could vary depending on the criteria.

I remember Spurrier saying "its not a rivalry when one team wins all the time". Not sure if he was referring to GA or TN or both at the time.

I can tell you that in N. gumpville they absolutely hate us more than the burn.

If we were to get a choice of winning the Bama game and then losing the other games 1-11 or going 13-1 and losing to Bama,I'm going to pick 1-11 Bama victory in every season. They are THE SEASON in my life. I remember the 80s and early 90s as a kid and the losses were so bad they made me cry for days. The knowledge of 365 days of waiting for the next chance was to me an eternity. Manning to Kent was the highlight of my childhood. I was in a juvenile mental health facility and had to celebrate alone. Go Vols!
