They can enforce it. It’s called a pay schedule. It’s very rather simple. The problem is trying to enforce those contracts is like calling the police to say someone stole the fentanyl you had mailed to your house.
When a school goes to enforce their multi year or incentive based contracts, the player just goes to the NCAA with the contract.
A contract is only good if it's enforceable without getting your school put on probation.
Not winning a natty with Nico even if we had Georgia or Ohio state rosters. Enough let it go. Nico is mid.Nico should be offered this:
$3m, bumping up from $2m
$2m in incentives for going to Atlanta/winning the SEC/Playoff Berth/CFP semi berth/winning natty
At the end of the day, if we were to win a natty, not one person would care how much Nico was paid. However, heavy incentives force him to actually perform. If a school wants to pay more than $3m for his body of work in guarantees, so be it
Hehehe. Ask Xavier Lucas, who apparently had a "2 year NIL deal" with Wisconsin and transferred to Miami without even using the portal. They can enforce it. It’s called a pay schedule. It’s very rather simple.
He ain't coming back for that.Someone mentioned that Gaston Moore is in the portal without a landing spot. While I don't think he's a replacement or starter, he might be a calming influence in the locker room if he wants to come back.
I'm not at all suggesting he's a potential threat to Merk or G-Mac but more of, well honestly, a set of eyes and ears for Heupel this year until things settle a bit.

Wisconsin is suing. Meanwhile, Xavier Lucas is going through Spring practice in Miami.
Wisconsin is expected to lose.
That's just a normal NIL. Do this, get that. Your suggestion that the school can enforce a multi year contract is my issue. What part do you not understand?
A pay schedule lays out all payment dates and amounts. If you don’t honor the deal, you don’t get paid on those future dates.

No one expects that Nico is going to collect more money from Spyre after he leaves nor does any player collect money from a school after leaving, at least I hope a collective isn't that stupid or poor to need to defer payments.
Players can leave every semester and they'll stop receiving NIL money. The courts have already said you can't stop them from transferring and playing elsewhere BECAUSE you can't stop them from earning money elsewhere. TN, via UT, joined that lawsuit to make it so.
You cannot make a kid keep attending your school. We're seeing that today with Nico.Yes they can. It’s called telling the kid you will get this amount if you are here on this date and this amount on that date and so on.
It’s called money. If you want to make x, here is how you can earn up to that. It’s not complicated. NIL is the wild Wild West. The notion that everything has to go thru a legal lense is absurd.
