Who do we catch first?

You may have underestimated Mizzou, they did win the SEC east 2 out of 3 years......I think Mizzou is much better that Vandy or Kentucky, don't you, after you really think about it?

Checkerboards is right. Just wait and see. They'll fight with Kentucky and USCe every year for the spots just above Vandy.

And given the turmoil there with enrollment down, boosters skittish, and a long-time coach recently gone, it's only going to get worse.

p.s. We'll catch Florida first. It is reassuring that, as bad as things have been in that series for the past decade plus, we could even everything up in a mere 7 years if we really get on it heavy.

Ron Zook and the rash of injuries we had in 2013 both disagree with you.

Zook and Muschamp would more prove his point.

I'll drop my homerism for a moment and give an honest opinion.
UF is in the midst of a recruiting Shangri-La. Part of your record over UT is a result of our own bumbling failure.
The majority is just being overloaded with talent.
I definitely give credit for the great coaching hires that you have had and making something out of an almost non existent past. Flat out winning championships, and no one can take that away.

But...
Not to insult you, just being honest. When the amount of talent available is added to the mix, I find
the record bland at best.
Alabama, the freaking middle of Alabama, now that's impressive.
You have every right to talk smack to us, but let's not get carried away, as if the talent hasn't the primary reason of FL becoming a powerhouse.
At best, you guys have been Georgia, just slightly "prettier".
No reason you shouldn't have more trophies.

Florida is NOT a traditional power. They were traditional doormats prior to Dickey and only elevated to power by Spurrier. They do not belong in the same discussion as AU/UA/UT.

This is absolutely true. Florida has been a power in football for a grand total of 25 years, in other words new kids on the block

I missed where I "talked smack" to you in this thread.

Your UGA comparison is laughable, considering we've won three national titles since their last, and unlike UGA we share our state with two other programs with a combined 8 national titles in the past 33 years.

Otherwise your comparison is spot on.

The same can be said of Miami and FSU, relative to UT's overall history.

I'm guessing neither fan base would trade places with UT historically.

Calm your butthurt and read again.
1. I said you have the right to talk smack, never suggested you personally had in this thread.
2. I said you were the prettier version of GA - because you actually had won. You should have a couple more.
3.Dont whine to me because your instate rivals smack you around ever so often. Stop them.

If only our in-state rival was a national powerhouse like Vanderbilt. :eek:lol:

And your UGA comparison is garbage regardless of how much perfume you spray on it.

Let me to simplify it for you. You were in a discussion and you suggested because your team had injuries before that talent wasn't the factor.

In return, I suggested that with all the talent you guys have had, you have actually underperformed.

It was at this point you became defensive. I gave an honest and fair assessment, as you say you do on here also.
When you have, I don't step in and fight about it. It appears, you are just much better at dishing it out than you are accepting it.

You gave your opinion, and I disagreed with a good portion of it.

In return you accused me of whining, being butt hurt among other things. No big whoop.

Hmmmmmm....if we've been underperforming for awhile now, and have won 11 in a row over you, what does that say about you?

I'm okay with disagreement, but you seem to get awfully upset about it.
You come here, give your opinion about Tennessee often, and sometimes it isn't a great feeling. But if it's fair, I don't object. May not agree, but I don't object.
This is the one time that I've done the same in return. I think it's more than fair to say you got defensive. I gave as many compliments in my original post as I did critiques. You objected to every single critique.

Put it in perspective for one second. You had no problem with the compliments but felt every criticism wrong. You either believe that your team is the return of Jesus Christ or you did not handle criticism well.

I can respect defending one's team, that's what I think a fan should do. But given the circumstances of how much you say about us, I think it's fair to ask you to accept a little in return.

I do, but I'm not sure exactly how much better they are. Imo, Mizzou just happened to join the conference at the right time with the East being the worst it's probably ever been. They just don't get the athletes that we get and they also don't have the resources that we have. I think they'll be fighting for 3rd or 4th in the East for the majority of the foreseeable future.

I can see 10-15 (maybe more) year streaks against Mizzou. The East was historically bad when they joined, so I'm not too afraid of them at all. To me, they'll be a thorn maybe 2-3 times a decade maybe coming close to beating us or just maybe sneaking out a win.
