Who Do the Boosters (not named Haslem) Want as AD?

no one knows really. jimmy still trying to get his boy sigmon named. i think the other boosters, and anderson would prefer to have fulmer named interim, and buy some time on finding the permanent replacement.

just a guess though at this point. i know this, if it's sigmon...HOH is still in control.

if not Blackburn, then Fulmer as AD or hell to pay...again...:)

PS. personally, Fulmer as Pres and Blackburn as AD works for me...I'm sure the HoH would go for that...:eek:lol:

Blackburn would be great BUT Phil may be better. History shows us that former players and coaches make great AD’s. Will see. Can’t go wrong with either

Phil without question.

He's the very epitome of VFL, he loves the Vols as much as he loves Krispy Kremes.

We need stability and he can provide that. He's a pillar of Tennessee football.

Wth isn't Charles Davis being considered for AD? Former Vol and AD at Stanford... well connected, well respected, tons of pro and college contacts... makes no sense why he's not the top of the list... smdh

Fulmer until coach hired. Transition to Blackburn or ?? after that is finalized. Do not toss Blackburn to the Pit of Misery by throwing him to the lions yet.

Blackburn or Fulmer.

It was that way when Currie was hired and hasn't changed.

Blackburn moreso that Fulmer from what I originally heard.

If they are looking at Kevin Steele as HC, we got a problem as he was 9–36 overall and 1–31 in the Big 12 Conference while at Baylor. That's a 20% winning percentage. I want either Fulmer, Miles or Kiffin as HC with Tee as OC - HC in waiting, Kevin Steele as our DC, and build their staffs from there. It could happen. Apparently it almost did.

I think the "clean" and best way to get a fresh start is to bypass both Fulmer and Blackburn. Charles Davis would be my choice. Once he's hired, I give him a budget and set of terms for the new coach and staff them let him make the hire. No BOT and no meddling from Haslam.

Didn’t AtlantaVol or VolinExile say that they were going to meet with a contingent of boosters to push out Haslam like last week? Could this be the BOT meeting that supposedly happened this week on the Ag campus happening in front of us?

Edit: not last week, this week... this week feel like it’s been months.

Blackburn resigned his post as AD at UTC several months ago. I can't remember why he did that. Does anyone know if there was something that happened at UTC that caused him to resign?

great question, a couple weeks ago i was trying to find anything about why he left, or what he's been doing now. and there's virtually nothing out there on it. just that he resigned. personal reasons.

he's certainly available, and who knows if they've been working on this for a few days, maybe they have him board.

the possibilities are endless for the next two hours.......lol.
