I have no idea other than his work ethic & like somebody else said his parents must be donating to the school. He is definitely the worst out of those players mentioned to replace Kirkland.
He's not fast at all. He doesn't know where to be over half the time. Like I said, he's a really good tackler but other than that I see no good in him being out there unless it's a blowout type game.
We have to remember he was a walk-on. I would vote for Smith, Bituli, Bryant, Bates, or Bynum definitely over Colton Jumper starting at LB.
Well then if what you say is true, then Butch and Shoop need to be replaced.
Now I'm not implying that Jumper should start, because I think there are others on the team that are better. But to say that he isn't fast at all is ridiculous. He's not very agile that's for sure, but in this INT run back last year he stayed right behind EB the whole way.

I was kidding about the parent providing money thing but you really never know for sure. I definitely think I'm right that most of the LB's mentioned are better than Colton Jumper.
Maybe not all 5 or 6 of them but most of them. Colton is a hustler & has good work ethic is what I hear so that may be what's keeping him in there.
Are you saying he's one of the fastest LB's we have? C'mone man. He's not even close to that. He's probably in the bottom 3rd as far as speed at the LB position. He hustles & tackles. I'll give him that but he shouldn't be starting period buddy. Thanks!
No, I'm not saying he's one of the fastest LB's we have, thanks! I'm saying that to say that he isn't fast at all is silly, like the person I quoted said. Thanks! Next time read more carefully so people don't have to clarify what they meant, thanks!
Have you ever had a high ankle sprain? I have with torn ligaments. I was back in action in 3 weeks. Albeit heavily taped and not 100% but healed enough to be effective as a WR. Everyone is different and every injury is different. It's ridiculous to pontificate and throw out specific timelines. You have no clue what High ankle sprain is, do you ? Yes not all sprain's are same but High Ankle Sprain at minimum takes 4-6 weeks to heal. Plus if you are a coach you don't want to put your guy in at 4 weeks and put him in risk of tearing ligaments.
There is a website called 'www.google.com'. Use it to read about stuff. It is very helpful. I know its a hard page to use but it really is helpful.
Here is information on High Ankle from this dreaded 'google.com' that lead to a physio's webpage:
"In the high ankle sprain, there are several structures potentially damaged. These include ligaments that connect the tibia to the fibula known as the tibfib ligaments, as well as a tissue called the interosseous membrane. The severity of this injury often depends on how many of these structures are damaged. The recovery time frame varies from 8 weeks to 6 months and this is why the high ankle sprain is so dreaded."
