Butch confirmed that DK has high ankle sprain. That means easily he is out 4-6 weeks. Once/if he is out 6 weeks, I think at that point they will just get him a medical RS.
So what can play MLB ? We know Jumper can't. He has proven that over and over.
Can guys like Dillon Bates or Elliot Berry play MLB ?
May be Quarte Sapp or even Bituli get a crack there ?
Do we think of moving JRM inside and have McDowell play outside ?

Thoughts ?

I would be very impressed if he only missed one week with a high ankle sprain. Those are usually multi-week injuries.

He's not out 4-6 weeks. He's out for the Ohio game, then week-to-week after that. Also per Butch.

Its a high ankle sprain. They at minimum take 4-6 weeks to even heal. He could be out 8 weeks before he sees field and is ready to play.

We are better off just playing with 10 men on the field then attempting jumper. In all seriousness Coaches will play Jumper this week. Very doubtful they make a change. Jumper sucks but coaches can't see that for some reason. I wonder if his parents are making donations to the University and that's why he is playing

So you quoted Butch on the nature of the injury, then just disbelieved Butch on the time Kirkland will miss.

Here's an idea to ponder: not all ankle sprains are the same severity.

Cherry pick your drama much, Volmandu? :)

Gavin Bryant, Kenny Bynum, Cortez McDowell, or Austin Smith. It would appear to be Colton Jumper though.

Not good! After Dobbs and Hurd, DKJr was IMO the most important player on our team. We absolutely cannot afford to lose him.

Well, we did for the next game at the least so guess we should hope someone else can step up and the coaches do thier job

You have no clue what High ankle sprain is, do you ? Yes not all sprain's are same but High Ankle Sprain at minimum takes 4-6 weeks to heal. Plus if you are a coach you don't want to put your guy in at 4 weeks and put him in risk of tearing ligaments.

There is a website called 'www.google.com'. Use it to read about stuff. It is very helpful. I know its a hard page to use but it really is helpful.

Here is information on High Ankle from this dreaded 'google.com' that lead to a physio's webpage:

"In the high ankle sprain, there are several structures potentially damaged. These include ligaments that connect the tibia to the fibula known as the tibfib ligaments, as well as a tissue called the interosseous membrane. The severity of this injury often depends on how many of these structures are damaged. The recovery time frame varies from 8 weeks to 6 months and this is why the high ankle sprain is so dreaded."
