he is the best rapper ever just based on rhyming abilities and it turns out funny, but his music doesnt have alot of substance like 2 pac, or T.I. ei: life expierences.

im 19 and i do understand your position on it im usually a minority in this discussion. and Lil wayne is not my fav rapper or anything i just called it like a see it he can put rhymes together but like i said very little substance in the lines.

thats why i also used the disclaimer "when it comes to rhyming abilities" i can easily name others that are better but i dont know what all the hate is about when it comes to him. is it the fact he has gone mainstream?

I don't hate him. I can dig some of his stuff. He's just not anywhere near awesome. The rap game has gotten so weak, he's in the conversation because of sales and his popularity (mostly with the younger crowd), but that's the way it is nowadays...
I can't wrap my mind around the whole kissing Baby in the mouth thing, but other than that I don't have anything against him. IMO, he just simply doesn't compare on any level other than being hot right now...
