......as of right now, no.

Things could change if we lose to either Vandy or Kentucky.

I'm sure Hart can't wait to make his mark as A.D. It's just down to which coach gives him the chance.

This.

Don't be indifferent MB. Now that Lattimore is out for the season, UT should be able to provide some safety help to cover SC receivers. Have fun watching UT figure out ways to score without any offensive weapons. Have fun watching DY. Have fun watching Maggit and Jacques Smith.

This team has zero chance of losing to KY fwiw.

Da'Rick is still a weapon, so is Neil and Lane has a nose for the end zone. We just need Simms to play within himself and manage the offense. There's going to be some breakout plays this year.

2013 is his make or break season.

Agreed, that gives him 5. The only way he goes sooner is if recruiting collapses, but I don't see that.

I'd like to see some upgrades in a couple assistant positions, but other than that, I'd say his big job future evaluation will be the 2013 season.

According to a bunch of media whores like Clay Travis he is. But if it wasn't for stupid stuff like this and the rumors on message boards , that asshat wouldn't have anything to talk about.

Dooley is not on the hot seat.

To be clear , by stupid stuff like this , I am talking about the people posting that he is. Not this thread.

Travis is a clown. He can go jump on the Franklin band wagon for all I care.

!^&*,clicked the wrong tab. That was my fault. So what I say here and my vote contradict each other. In no way do I believe the Dooley is on the hot seat.

The lack of morning coffee and the old fantasy football injury strike again.

Da'Rick takes too many plays off, and for all the big hits he has taken in the endzone, he still has alligator arms at times. He is a solid number two receiver.

I voted for option # 3. If the loss to 'bama is as ugly as I think it is going to be, and if you lose one of the cupcake games remaining, like to a Vandy or a Kentucky, I can see things going downhill real quickly. Dooley could end up on the hot seat.

Right next to Muschamp should we lose to both Georgia and FSU or even to Vandy, which I would say is roughly a 50-50 shot of losing all three at this point in time.

No, it would be a program killer for the administration to even hint at such a thing. Only the dumbest of the fandom would be on his case right now.

No. Maybe a loss to Kentucky. But I'd be all for changing the name of our university if we lost to Kentucky :p

It will be interesting to see what happens to Muschamp. It is hard to imagine Vandy or FSU putting up a lot of points on Fla's defense. Georgia game should be very interesting to watch.

UT will not lose to KY and Vandy is much more of a stretch than people realize, especially if Bray is back for the game.

I dont think he is on the hot seat. With such a brutal SEC schedule and all the injuries I think he is ok this year. Now next year if we dont win atleast 8 games I'd say he will be for the following year for sure.

The way you're offense is playing right now you'll be lucky to win any of those games if at all...You forgot USCe as well...Many of my gator friends do not think you guys will even get bowl eligible this season...Then again We will be lucky to do it as well....Misery loves company I guess :dunno:

I heard one of the announcers during the Florida/Auburn game say that Florida could possible lose 6 in a row. If so, I don't know ya'lls schedule, I would say he will be very much so on the hot seat.

Absolutely not. We're capable of losing to anyone this year with simms at qb. The only way Dooley doesn't make it to 2013 is a 5(or worse) win season next year.

Go 5-7 or worse this season and the seat will be very warm. Go 6-6 next season and it will be boiling hot. The assistants will be dropping like flies.

Get to a bowl this season and all will be well for at least 2 more years unless they lay a big egg next season.

I don't know how so many voted no way - I mean how could you not be on the hot seat if you lose every SEC game - which is still possible so don't know how you couldnt put that he could be by end of season - i dont think it is probable at all, but he certainly could be on the hotseat if we only win 1 more game this year

So who do you think our 1 win is against? MTSU or Kentucky?

Our fans are delusional. WE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP 13 YEARS AGO, HOW CAN WE SUCK NOW?! DURRRRRR. give the man time

As I have stated before, the people with the $$$ knew this was a complete rebuild when they hired CDD or they wouldn't have given him a 6yr deal that includes a $4 million buyout if we fire him after year five. All that is required of Dooley is continuous steady improvement all the way around(grades, grad rate, on the field, in recruiting, and in the w-l column). I would rather know we are winning one more game a year and building our talent a little at a time the right way than to get that 10 win season in year two or three just to find out we are gonna be on probation, etc. We have won every game we were supposed to up to this point. I know he has to win some he isn't supposed to in order for us to be back at the top, but I don't think he will be on the hot seat by the people that matter until after the 2013 season at the earliest, barring some catastrophical collapse.

This. + 1,000,000

Look at Alabama & Oklahoma as examples of perennial top 10 teams that are in the hunt for the NC, year after year. Why? One reason is that fans & the AD will not accept anything less. Here are some examples:

OU hired an assistant, Gary Gibbs, after the Barry Switzer scandals in the late 1980s. In 6 years he had two 9-win seasons and one 8-win season. But he went 2-10 against Texas & Nebraska, OU's big rivals (sound familiar?). He won over 64% of his games, but at OU that was not enough - he was fired.

In his 3rd year at Alabama, Mike Shula's Tide went 10-2, won the Cotton Bowl, and finished 8th in the final polls. He was given a raise in pay, to 1.8M, and a six-year contract. The next year, Alabama went 6-6. Shula was fired.

Regardless of the current extenuating circumstances, UT has a long history of winning football. If we do not demand the same performance from our coaching staff that the Alabama's and OU's of the football world demand, then we cannot expect anything other than mediocrity.

No, not right now.

I mean, if we lose to Vandy or Kentucky (which won't happen), then maybe I'll start changing my tune a little bit.
