Who Believes any of what Butch has said in this press conference?

I honestly think some people didn't like the Butch hire from day 1 so they'd rather us lose and be proven right.
Nope didn't like the hire.. but second part is untrue I want Butch to succeed but he won't change or adapt during games and doesn't have what it takes to win big games and doesn't prepare his teams like I think he should..

the funny thing is the same people calling Butch a liar starting a thread about hiring Petrino. Because he's honest

What is sad is that he blew a gasket vs Hurd in the UGA game and rightfully so. However, he hasn't gotten in Dobbs' face once after many of his picks.... Never once vs SC did Butch get in Dobbs' grill and chastise him for those pics or the fumble.... Its not like Dobbs just decided to have turnovers. Its been the case all season.

To be fair, the one pick I did see the Oline guy got blocked into Dobbs right as he was stepping up to throw, so I could maybe see how that might not have been his fault cause the pass was very under thrown, but had it been a little ahead the WR could've possibly caught it.

Yea Tennessee fans are happy with 6-7
Maybe 8 wins a year with Butch.. I'm not......

interesting to see if this team has given up on CBJ after the Tech game.. we will skate past Tech but will see what happens after that game

This team doesn't skate past anyone.

I couldn't have said it better myself bro...he is just not the guy to take us to the next level which is elite. I wasn't a fan of the hire, other than that he was a fellow Michigander.

He still threw into triple coverage. Regardless, that blame is 50/50. The only pick that hasn't been his fault was the Croom bobble vs A&M. There is nothing that inspires confidence with Dobbs running the offense. Plus, he's not keeping the ball on zone reads. I would rather have QD in who can stretch the field, but won't be as mobile then the other way around.

I take it that you have watched only the Florida game this year

Of course not...What's wrong with you?? I clearly stated the team has progressed each year and who wants to start another coaching staff overhaul. I assume you have no clue to any of the previous homerun coaching hires and winning seasons prior to him.

Don't get me wrong, I believe Dobbs is screwing up a lot lately, but that one particular pass maybe not so much his fault, so I could see why maybe Butch didn't fuss at him.

Plus it's one thing to make a bad throw on a wrong read, it's another to try and prance into the endzone and get hammered fumbling the ball.

Iirc, when asked if Kongbo had considered leaving the team Butch skirted the question by saying that as far as he knew Kongbo was still on the team.

Pretty telling unless Butch just vapor locked. If the answer is "No" then why not say that.

He did say that earlier.

difference is because Hurd got chewed out for lack of effort, Dobbs even with his mistakes atleast tries on the field.

I'm just wondering, because what we see this year is not progression

The East is an absolute mess. A blind Rabbi could coach and win in the East

What scheme works for a RB with relatively poor vision and who isn't laterally quick enough to make tacklers miss?

Too bad, if he had stuck around he would of more than likely be at #1 or close to it in rushing yards at UT. Not too shabby for a guy with poor vision.

All these people dogging Hurd were his favorite fans last season

Too bad

Its the same way they treat people who talk bad about Butch

Don't mock their Savior

1. Kongbo tweeted Cleats and said what he said, and deleted all of his Tennessee stuff on his twitter because of a FIFA game.

2. Hurd was not told that the offense would be more suited to him this year as it was in the bowl game, and you better not try to ask why we've never run formations similar to it.

3. This team will be better with Hurd gone.

4. This team is fine.

Guys like Williams and Hurd bear on everyone after a while. Everyone sacrifices something when you are on a team, but selfish guys really ***** about it all the time. its about them, their stats, their position, etc. Everyone in the world saw this with PW. Heck, I didn't even want them to sign him after the Auburn visit fiasco. I was surprised about Hurd although I had hear rumors he was very self-centered. He didn't appear to play that way until this season.

Once guys like this are gone, its usually a relief. There will probably be more after the season. I'd expect Richmond to go home. Maybe a couple others. Some might surprise you.

Jones did all he could do. After awhile you cut your losses and move on. He'll be a better coach and I expect the team to be a lot better going forward. JMO

I think the Count is referring to the above comment I bolded. We have clearly regressed this year. We are looking at a potential 6-6, maybe 7-5 season at this time based on the display on the field. This was the year for the VOLS to really step up. Injuries at key positions have been more than usual, but the team and/or coaching has really crapped the bed from game 1.

Please tell me where Dobbs effort was on that pass 6 yards short in the dirt of Malone? That right there warranted a benching for one series. Butch is willing to lose games as long as Dobbs is in. Its amazing how little he wants to let QD or anyone for that matter get some reps for next year.

I would say they convinced Kongbo to stay and played it off as a soccer game tweet. My guess is Hurd goes to Cal with Vic Warton. I thought Jones was a total douche in the presser, and when no butts are in seats he will start caring what fans are saying about him and his job. I just wish Hart would try and hire Les Miles, or Bobby Petrino. Either would be a huge step up from what we have. Jones was saying a bowl game three years in a row was good by his math. I wanted to ask if it was the same math he used in some of his game time choices.

Butch was re-markedly calm, even as the Bus was starting to crush him, one brave coach:eek:lol:

was hoping he would say Debord was relieved of his OC job
The ONLY reason Debord is here in the first place is BJ wanted to repay an old coach and friend, who helped him move up the ranks. BJ saw an easy payday for an old and close friend and used UT to repay him. Plain and simple as that.
