Who are the 32 biggest enemies of the UT football program?

charles woodson
paul hornung

While I'll agree with Woodson, it's hard to hate Hornung. I was not even close to being born at that time, but from what my Grandfather told me Jim Brown should have won hands down that year. Heck, I think that Majors has said so himself that Brown should have won.

Matt Mauck - I will never forget the pain I felt that night... felt like a shot in the gut - still not completely over it. :cray:

i really never will understand some of tennessee fandom.

how in the hell does fulmer make the list as an enemy of tennessee football?

what is the most glorious moment in tennessee football in the last 40 years or so? who was the head coach?

who has more wins than any other coach in tennessee histroy, but the man the stadium is named after?

i just don't get it.

it was his time to go. no one questions that.

but, fulmer won football games. a lot of them

...some folks never get tired of beating, and will probably do so after he is dead and gone.

It puzzles me and I have been a fan since the late 1950's, a rabid fan since 1969, and a fanatical fan since Johnny Majors came back home.

It was time for a change, no doubt, and someday it will be time to change again, either for CLK to move on or (hard to imagine) be moved on...(then again see Johnny Majors for case in point).

Let's get a good list, put them into a NCAA playoff style bracket, and let the battle it out in the court of public opinion to see who we hate the most! I'll start with a couple of names:

Linda Bensel-Meyers
Chris Leak
Wendell Smith

Start naming names and spewing vitriol! I want to hear some serious sour grapes! Grudges must be settled!

:)

32? How about 10 and we move on.

Matt Mauck - back up QB that repeatedly ran the QB draw to win the 2001 SECCG for LSU.

The UT offensive staff in the Swamp in 1999. Can't come up with a protection to block Alex Brown from simply rushing upfield every play, and call a toss sweep on 4th and 3.

The Nebraska O-line of the late 90's.

The Northern-Biased Media Conspiracy that rigged the Heisman votes in 1956 and 1997.

Chris Fowler and his talk of the "Trailer Park Frenzy."

Stacy Harrison (who?) - blocked Tennessee's FG attempt in 1990, setting up Phillip Doyle's game-winner in a 9-6 Bama victory.

Doug Johnson (my most despised of all Gator QB's). Wuerfful and Tebow beat us more, but they were at least classy guys.

I almost put Chris Simms as well, but then I remembered that night in December 2001 when Casey Clausen beat the Gators in the Swamp, and Simms proceeded to melt down for Texas (4 INT's and one fumble), blowing their shot at the national title in a loss against Colorado in the Big XII championship game, and I realize he did us a big favor not coming to Knoxville.
