Did we lose everyone on our O-line from last year? I am trying to make sense of it. Kyler Kerbyson and who else?

Kerbyson's the only one who left the team (graduated).

We've been missing Chance Hall to injury. He was starting right tackled in the last part of the year.

Other than that, the Team 119 OL is the Team 120 OL. Who started shifted over 2015, and has already shifted some over 2016, but they're all the same parts, with the addition of Drew Richmond (he redshirted in 2015).

I just don't get why our o-line is so much worse I guess. Thanks for the info!

The absence of Chance Hall has been bigger than anyone probably wants to admit (unless you're J. Dobbs)

Except for VT, you have to realize we have been playing what is considered undersized defensive lines. Our 300-pounders have been lining up against 270-pounders, not the usual pound-for-pound D lineman they are used to seeing in the SEC. The game plan for these undersized teams was to try to beat us on quickness by lining up off gap and shooting through into the backfield or running stunts. As all of us know, it worked pretty well.

Beginning Saturday our O line will again face guys equal in size. While they may be somewhat quick (after all they play in the SEC), a 300-pound D tackle cannot move like a 270-pounder. I fully expect to see better performance out of our O line the next four weeks as they will actually be able to fully square up on the D line.

I might agree with this narrative if so many of our issues on the OL weren't guys simply missing assignments and leaving defenders relatively untouched.

There seem to be issues with the coaching, scheme, communication, playcalling, or maybe all of the above that are exacerbating the limited skillsets of our OL.

Stop trying to use rational talk with this crowd. It doesn't matter that the three teams we've played have probably been game planning for UT all year, as it is their one chance to knock off a big name on a national stage and be somewhat relevant. It doesn't matter the difference in types of players or fronts. It only matters that they are two star players 'dominating' our team. It doesn't matter that we've got pretty much the same player base, plus deeper new talent, this year. All that matters is UT didn't put up 150 points per game and look pretty on tv.

These guys are emotional vampires and only want to revel in their misery and can't stand that anyone can see a positive in this team. They are the same people that suck all of the air out of the room when you're having a good time. That person who is shrouded with self loathing that immediately takes a huge number two on anything positive.

Let them have their woe is me phase and ignore them. They'll be the same people talking about how the VOLS will win the NC and go undefeated when we beat Florida like a rented mule.

Like Croom said, we haven't begun to see their swagger yet.

Go Vols! #WGWTFA

Jashon returned. Not to be a jerk but he seems to be missing some of the skilset that made him a Freshman All-American. It is probably just rust.

But I DO want to see what Boulware can do.

Jashon has always struggled against quickness and blocking in space. He will be fine against big, powerful DTs.

He has been horrible so far, though.
