Who’s hiring the OC, Fulmer or Pruitt??

Logic tells me Pruitt is the head coach and should have full control over who he wants to hire. Along with that it would make sense for the AD to basically approve of the hire and not interfere (obviously to a certain extent).

But do you all think Fulmer is actually the one gonna make the hire (or have significant influence) or will he let Pruitt make the hire without much question at all?

Fulmer needs to stay the hell out of it because he clearly has no idea when it comes to personnel decisions.

Pruitt will make hire and he will seek council with Fulmer. He leans on Fulmer for council. They have a great relationship.

Coaches like Kiffin and Freeze have significant baggage and the AD / management would have to ok any hire with those guys. I would not expect either of those to be considered seriously.

Tennessee is hiring a new OC. I am sure that Pruitt will do the gut work and consult his boss before a hire is made.

I'm sure CJP will make the hire and CPF has veto authority that he will only use if he has grave concerns for a prospective hire.

Clearly, the decision will be a shared decision that both will support. Neither will force the action on the other.

I think it's huge to hire OC before early signing period!!!!! Especially with wide receivers deciding on other schools along with Tennessee

I think that it would be a huge mistake (think Dooley) to rush the hire just for recruiting.
