Whittingham may be top target

Think he's getting at the fact that Jeff Fisher may be advising against Lovie. Which in a small way relates to us going full speed after Utah's man instead. I do agree with some that of all seemingly possible candidates right now, KW is our last hope of getting anything resembling progress outside of Kippy. Say no to Lovie. The dude is too bull headed for his own good.

Whittingham was always one of my top choices. It was between him and Will Muschamp for me. Whittingham is 47-17 in 5 seasons at Utah. Oh, and is 5-0 in bowl games.

Would be a really great hire if the "big name" everyone is talking about turns the job down.

Cutcliffe should be a "last resort" sort of option. IMO.

Can't UT do better than coaches named lovie or kippy? How about coaches with manly names like bruiser and oil can.

Since we are on the subject (off topic) did they secure Jaq Smith ? anyone?

Not yet. We need a coach. There's a good chance Jac remains a Vol, but until we give him a coach he won't feel comfortable here, and even then there's a chance he takes his game to LSU.

do you think this would be a good hire for UT considering all candidates?

Yeah I believe he would be a great hire. First of all, he knows UF's offense as well as anybody. Second the guy flat out wins games he has no business winning considering level of talent. I also believe he can recruit since he had to have learned something from Meyer.

When Meyer was gone for that whole day, Whittingham was someone who I definitely wanted even over Bob Stoops for UF. The only person I can say I would take realistically instead would've been Muschamp off the top of my head.

this guy scares Florida and Alabama. He would be great, but I hope he keeps our offensive staff. (At least Chaney and Kippy) We should go the pro-style route

Hiring Whittingham would add some serious fuel to the fire with the UF rivalry...Because you KNOW those two would be going all out to show the other one up...Whittingham would be a fine head coach here I believe...I hope its not wishful thinking...He's quickly become my favorite out of all of them.

I want the exact offense he used to destroy Alabama with...That pro style offense has done nothing for us.

Why Whittingham wasn't one of the top choices boggles my mind. Muschamp has no HC experience and Cutcliffe's HC experience hasn't shown much results. Whomever is conducting this coaching search is a fool.
