Marcus, I have been reading your post for a few years and I sincerely believe this world would be a better place with more Marcus's in it. I think you are a good hard working family man that does all he can to provide his family with the best life he can. I admire you for that.
That was an excellent post until you got to that edit part at the bottom.
It has been proved over and over that Romney's 47% comment is garbage. From reading about your work history, odds are you were part of his 47% when you were younger and working hard every day. If you are lucky, you will be part of Romney's 47% when you retire.
Many of the people included in his 47% are families that work everyday but with the tax credits/deductions they receive they actually pay no income tax, yet they pay payroll tax, sales tax, property tax, gas tax etc.
Seniors that have worked for 45-50 years that retired were included in his 47%/
Military members that were stationed in a combat zone are included in his 47%.
Romney was correct that 47% of people did not pay income tax in 2011 yet they include many hard working people, retirees, and our brave members of our military that were stationed in a war zone. To include these people as if they are low life trash was wrong of Romney and is wrong for people to continue to cite. The breakdown of that 47% is very easy to locate
